08:08 PM IST| That's a wrap from our side. I, Amit Das, along with my co-commentator Arijit Kundu and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar is bidding you all goodbye! Enjoy the moment, it has come at a cost of a lot of efforts made by the girls starting from 1974 when they played the first world cup. They have come a long way, this win is not only for those played, but also for Santa Rangaswami, Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, and many more coveted champions of Indian Cricket. it belongs to all of them, the entire nation. And as they say, let the party begin! Thanks for joining in and stay tuned for the upcoming matches, see you soon!
Shafali Verma (Indian captain): " Offcourse, we did it. Everyone is happy here. Thanks to the staffs here, the way they backed us every day. The way they have supported us [in tears]. It has been incredible. It is very good. Thanks to BCCI for giving me the confidence and giving this team. It has been incredible from us. Not just Shweta, Parshavi also bowled very well. I can't take individual names, everyone was brilliant."
The players of the Indian side get their respective medals.
Grace Scrivens: "Obviously we're gutted. Our batting let us down today. Obviously, we tried that today but it didn't happen. Yeah, they've been brilliant as well. All the support from Barmy army as well."
The players of England U-19 Women receive their respective medals.
Grace Scrivens (England captain/ Player of the tournament): "Amazing the spirits. I think the pitch was a bit different. I think we tried to keep it very simple. Not sure if some of them were pretty wickets. Thank you very much"

Titas Sadhu (Player of the Match): "We were looking forward for this day. Yeah, all of the coaches and the bowlers, we had some plans on our mind. We executed it well. It's not quite lonely because we are all teammates. And obviously, we have all the other spinners alongside. So, we have played two matches here. And we also watched all the matches played here. So we were prepared for the conditions. I would like to thank everyone."

Time for the Presentation ceremony...
If you have just joined us right now, I must say, you have missed witnessing a history being scripted in Indian Sports History.

India and England faced off each other in the finals of the U19 T20 World Cup Final. Both sides placed their unchanged XI with India winning the toss and electing to bowl first.

From the first ball, the Women in Blue were on the charge. They continuously took wickets to break England's batting mantle in this important clash. Bengal seamer Titas Sadhu (much like following Jhulan Goswami's footsteps) gave a dream start. Her figures of 2 wickets off 6 runs were crucial upfront. She was well supported by Parshavi, Archana as both of them picked up two wickets each.

From England's perspective, they looked nervous from ball one itself, the only positive from them was MacDonald-Gay's batting till the time she survived. She top-scored with 19 runs but was not enough to post a fighting total against these batting-heavy women in blue. They got bowled out for 68 runs with 17 balls left.

When India came to back, it was just a matter of time before they would hit the winning shot. India lost both their openers early and things started to look happening for England for moments. But with Soumya Tiwari and Gongadi Trisha at the middle order, no collapses were seen.

Just when 3 runs were needed, Trisha tried to hit in the air to finish off in style, but was bowled. But it was just a consolation wicket for them. And the moment arrived just after 7 balls when Soumya beat the fielder to sneak a run which she along with the entire nation will remember for a long time. It will be part of Indian Cricket Folklore (whenever it will be written).
Look at Shafali Verma(with indian flag around her neck), was there when India lost to Australia at the big G, now she won the ICC event as captain.
Archana Devi: "It really feels good. Happy to get to do what we came for. I would like to ask for the support as well. Yeah, the catch was good, All credits to sir who giving us the pracitcals"
Gongadi Trisha: "Everyone was super happy, and everyone was waiting for this for a long time. It is a proud moment for us. Too good!! They did terrific fielding today. Superb energy. We are always together during the tough times. We keep encouraging each other everytime. They are super happy and proud of us."
Nooshin AI Khadeer (India W U-19 head coach): "This is the feeling we have been waiting for long. The win came with an Under-19 side and it shows the depth we have. We thought of playing proper cricket, simple cricket and we achieved it. Absolutely, from the time of national anthem till the time we've won, we had goosebumps. We have been waiting for a cup. Under-19 gave us a chance and this speaks about the depth. We are blessed"
7:35 PM IST| An emphatic seven wicket win for the Indian GIrls!!!! They are celebrating like World is at their feet!!! And the world is!!! They are in tears, proper Chak De India Moment for them!!!! Redemption time for the head coach, she was there when India Senior played the World Cup Final back in 2005. She knows how much it means to them and the entire cricketing fraternity back at home! Neeraj Chopra in the house, he was there to motivate them, talked to them. It looks it worked!
13.6 Baker to S Tiwari
1 Length and outside the off. Here comes the winning runs!! The moment belongs to Soumya Tiwari and the title belongs to Shafali Verma and her side. Tiwari weighs back and punches it towards the cover-point region where the ball scurries through. A nutmeg kinda thing and this offers a single. The Indian side are jubilant and everyone marches into the field.
13.5 Baker to S Tiwari
0 Full and turns outside the off. Tiwari plays and gets beaten on the outside edge. The keeper clips the bails but the foot was dug in.
13.4 Baker to S Tiwari
2 Length delivery outside the off. Tiwari lofts it over the extra cover fielder and the ball unfurls past. The duo steals a double and the scores are levelled.
