Player Bio

A teenage cricketing sensation, Ailsa Lister is a professional cricketer for the Scottish women’s A team who is just 17 years old. She came into the limelight after she made the shortlist for the Young Sportswoman of the Year category based on her performances for Scotland and her Stoneywood-Dyce national league club.

A product of Huntly CC, Ailsa debuted for Scotland women’s U-17 team at the age of just 13. She stepped up to Scotland A and then the senior Wildcats’ women’s first team, and was selected for the national squad to play five tour matches against Ireland in Spain 2019.

Having perfected the big gloves, she is focused on improving her batting skills. Ailsa hit her first-ever century as she returned back to her old Huntly stomping ground to play a regional U-16 tournament for Caledonian. She gained a place in the Scotland U-17 ranks when she was only 13 and has kicked on quickly ever since.

Being delighted and shocked to have been selected for the senior squad, her efforts were recognized by the selectors, and to no one’s doubt, Ailsa will soon get her first opportunity to play in an international fixture with the senior team.
