Marcus Kevin O'Riordan is an English professional cricketer who represents Kent CCC in the English domestic circuit. By definition, O'Riordan is a batting all-rounder, who is a compact middle-order bat and a more than handy off-break bowler.

Born in Kent, O'Riordan started schooling at Tonbridge School where he played in the school cricket XI. He grew up Kent's grass-root levels and went to represent the county at age groups, before playing for the Second XI in 2014. The all-rounder showcased that he was a prodigy from a very young age, and the county invested in him.

O'Riordan’s first big breakthrough came when he played for Muckamore Cricket Club in County Antrim in 2019 and then went onto train with Ireland’s Northern Knights. Later that season, the all-rounder signed his first professional contract with Kent in August. He made his Kent debut during a 2019 t20 Blast match against Surrey at Canterbury. The Kent-born made his first-class debut in the Championship against Nottinghamshire.

The following season, the all-rounder made various headlines. First when he took 3 for 50 against Sussex where Kent handed them an embarrassing loss. A month later, O'Riordan again contributed to a famous win, where he scored an unbeaten 52 and led to a victory over Hampshire in the Bob Wills Cup.

At 23, O'Riordan has proved his worth as an all-rounder, but due to the truckload of resources already in the Kent setup, he doesn’t get many chances. However, whenever the all-rounder gets the rope, he would need to capitalize on it.
