A promising middle-order batsman and a handy offie, Zhivago Groenewald is a professional cricketer for Namibia who first represented the associate nation at the U-19 level. The southpaw arrived at the domestic circuit long back in 2010 at the tender age of 17 making his first-class debut against Boland in November 2010.

Just a month after his T20I debut, the 28-year old was named in Cricket Namibia’s Elite Men’s squad in June 2019. With Namibia gaining ODI status in April 2019 after finishing in the top 4 of the World Cricket League Division two, Groenewald made his ODI debut against the USA on September 17th, 2019.

The attacking all-rounder picked up 11 wickets in just 4 ODI appearances was forced to call quits from cricket due to a recurring knee injury, retiring from all forms of cricket in 2021 after the home season in Namibia.
