A big disappointment in the New Zealand camp with them losing to UAE. But nothing to takeaway from UAE after how they came back strongly following a heartbreak in the series opener. Plenty of cricketing action has been covered by us. So stay tuned with our network for cricket across the globe.

For now, I am AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Arijit Kundu, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur brought you all the live-action of this mouth-watering fixture. We will meet again in the next one. Until then, its cheers!
Aayan Afzal Khan (Player of the Match): "Did not eat today in the morning, was sleeping actually [on enquiring what he had for breakfast]. Just wanted to contribute to the team. The first wicket [his favourite wicket today], it was inside the powerplay and I believe that was a better delivery.

Nothing like that. I am playing well, so I will try to do more like this for my team. Ahmad sir has supported us well. And we also believe that we can beat a lot of good teams in the future. I told earlier, this is the strength of our team. The big players- Muhammad Waseem, Asif [Khan] Lala, [Vriitya]Aravind. When they play well, we are in for a win."

Muhammad Waseem (UAE Captain): "Yeah, first of all, thanks to my dear Allah. Happy with the game and happy with the win. We played well and it was a brilliant performance.

As I said earlier in the debut game of Asif Khan that he is a great player but unfortunately, he made his debut very late, to be honest. He had the talent and he did what he needed to finish the game.

Aayan Khan is very young, very talented. We know his strengths. He doesn't take pressure despite the size of the opposition. Instead, he puts the pressure on the other team. It was wonderful to see him perform. He is a star in the making."
Timothy Southee (New Zealand Captain): "Yeah I guess this is the beauty of sports. Credit goes to the UAE team, they beat us in all the three facets. We did not learn from the last match and they made us pay for that.

Miss and drop catches are a part of the game. He [Waseem] is a quality player. Makes it everyone works veery hard in the field and at times you drop some. We turn up again tomorrow ans play for the win in the series decider again."
11:02 PM IST, 21:32 Local Time: Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
Muhammad Waseem is having a small group huddle at one end of the field. Lovely character from the skipper and maybe they are gonna have some party today.
10:50 PM IST, 21:20 Local Time: What a moment in UAE cricket! They have just beaten, in fact, thrashed New Zealand by 7 wickets with more than four overs remaining. It's UAE's first win at Dubai in T20Is and it came after 7 defeats. History was created in UAE cricket and they are not going anywhere. The 3-match series is level at 1-1 and the decider is set to be played tomorrow at the same venue!

Chasing 143 to win, UAE lost Aryansh Sharma for a bronze duck with Jimmy Neesham taking a blinder of a catch at widish first slip. Skipper Tim Southee provided the side with a great start with the ball, bowling a wicket-maiden first over. The UAE captain made full use of his two dropped chances and made the bowling side pay for it with his exuberating innings of 55 off just 29 balls.

Waseem first had a 40-run partnership with Vriitya Aravind for the second wicket and later had a match-winning partnership of 56 with Asif Khan for the third wicket. While Kyle Jamieson removed Aravind as the fast bowler had a revenge at stake, Mitchell Santner finally got rid of the UAE skipper in the 11th over.

Asif Khan took responsibility and smashed the bowlers left, right and centre to finish things off in a hurry. He scored an unbeaten 48 off 29 balls and alongside Basil Hameed saw his side over the line in the 16th over.

Earlier in the match, a superb bowling effort from UAE restricted New Zealand to just 142/8 in 20 overs. Opting to bowl first, the UAE bowlers picked wickets in a flurry and reduced the Kiwis to 38/4 inside the seventh over. In the Powerplay, only Chad Bowes could show some intent, scoring run-a-ball 21. It was Muhammad Jawadullah who gave UAE the first breakthrough, following which Aayan Afzal Khan bowled a brilliant spell, setting the match up for the side. He scalped three top-order wickets, finishing with 4-0-20-3.

Mark Chapman was the lone warrior for the visitors as the southpaw clobbered a magnificent 63 off 46 balls. Chapman had a brief partnership with Jimmy Neesham as the duo added 53 runs for the 6th wicket. Neesham (21 off 17) was going well and helped the team go past the 100-run mark with the other southpaw Chapman going through the gears.

Once Neesham was out trying to up the ante in the 17th over, New Zealand lost their way again and were not allowed to go past the 150-run mark.

For UAE, Jawadullah bowled an excellent spell despite going through some cramps and finished with figures of 4-0-16-2. Ali Naseer, Zahoor Khan and Mohammed Faraazuddin supported with a wicket each.

A brilliant all-round performance from UAE see them take a big strike in their cricketing arena. The decider is up next tomorrow. Stay tuned for the post-match presentations...
15.4 T Southee to A Khan
4 FOUR MORE RUNSSS!! Short of a length and around the middle and leg. Asif clears the front leg and whips it like a tennis ball shot towards the deep mid-wicket region for a blazing boundary. A win for UAE and they have decimated the Kiwis. The series is leveled 1-1 and the decider follows tomorrow. A magnificent performance from UAE. They make history by defeating New Zealand for the first time in T20I.
Basil Hameed wants the crowd to go up and up.
15.3 T Southee to A Khan
4 FOURRRRR!!! Back of a length around the middle and leg. Asif Khan watches it come and launches this towards the square of deep mid wicket region for a boundary. Just three runs away from a win now. Poor bowling from Southee now and Asif is doing the job at the moment.
15.2 T Southee to A Khan
2 Back of a length, keeps a bit low at the tummy area. Asif flips across and runs for a second run towards right of deep square leg area.
Asif Khan wants to finish this pretty quickly. Just 9 runs are required to create history.
15.1 T Southee to A Khan
6 SIXXXXX!! Southee is getting some hammering. Short of a length and outside the off stump line. Asif watches, gets a tad forward and smashes it over the long on region. It was a flat-batted smack from Asif and the ball swirled over the ropes.
Southee to bowl out.

1 Short ball again over the stumps. Asif pulls it towards deep mid wicket for a single.
14.5 J Neesham to A Khan
4 FOURRRR!! Length delivery and outside the off stump. Asif swings hard and gets the outside edge flying towards the fine of third man fielder. A streaky way of getting a four but it won't matter as long as runs are coming.
