So, that's it from this second ODI as this never ending ODI finally comes to an end with Bangladesh winning by 3 wickets to go 1-0 up in the series. Both teams will be back in action on Sunday for the third and final ODI. Make sure you join us then for that and for all other cricketing actions across the globe, stick around to our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash, and Megh Mandaliya alongside scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Player of the Match): "This is my first 100 and I am feeling happy and nice. Hridoy batted well and the intent he showed helped my batting. Pretty cold here, but cannot control the conditions and we play our game. We didn't feel we were playing away. We felt like playing at home. Hope they come and support us in the next game and hope you keep supporting us. See you on Sunday."
Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh Captain): "The camaraderie we share with our fans in England is simply exceptional. Reminiscent of our 2017 series against England, where our loyal supporters outnumbered theirs in one game, the support we receive on English soil always amazes us. Despite our shaky start, we remained optimistic that the target was within reach.

We knew we needed to dig deep and ensure our batting lineup was robust. As expected, the expansive size of the ground rewarded us with some great boundary shots, and we couldn't be happier with Shanto and Hridoy's impressive performances today. All we can hope for is some warm and sunny weather on Sunday to complement our skills on the field."
Andrew Balbirnie (Ireland Captain): "Yeah, it's hard to pinpoint something at the moment. We will have to sit down and look at this tomorrow. You have to give credit to Bangladesh. Chasing such a total at any ground was a difficult job. We posted a good total on board.

We took early wickets that helped but we were quite short. It was a pleasure to watch
Harry Tector's knock. Very lucky to have him. Tector is getting better and better. Bangladesh is a top-class International team. We gave good entertainment to the crowd and hopefully, we can do the same on Sunday."
1:28 AM IST | Time for the post-match presentation...
1:20 AM IST: We have had a thriller of a contest in Chelmsford where the pendulum swung from one team to another. In the end, it was Mushfiqur Rahim who held his nerve to secure Bangladesh a 3-wicket win with 3 balls to spare as Bangladesh takes a 1-0 lead in this 3-match series with one game to spare.

Let's recap you to what has transpired today in Chelmsford. After a delay of 2 hours and 15 minutes, the match finally got underway with the game reduced to 45 overs a side. Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field first. Ireland lost Paul Stirling for a duck while Stephen Doheny went for 12. Andrew Balbirnie played well for his 42 off 58 balls. But then it was the Harry Tector show as he scored a majestic 4th ODI ton. He scored 140 off 112 balls. George Dockrell gave him good company with a quickfire 74* off 47 balls. Mark Adair chipped in with 20* off 8 balls. Ireland ended their 45 overs with a competitive 319/6.

Hasan Mahmud was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/48 in 9 overs. A couple of wickets for Shoriful Islam who went for 83 runs in 9 overs. A wicket apiece for Ebadot Hossain and Taijul Islam as it was a tough day for the bowlers.

Chasing 320 to win in 45 overs, Bangladesh lost skipper Tamim Iqbal for 7. Litton Das scored 21. It was the Najmul Hossain Shanto show as he registered his maiden ODI hundred. He scored 117 off 93 balls. Shakib Al Hasan scored 26. Towhid Hridoy gave good support to Shanto as he scored 68 off 58 balls. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 19 off 12 balls. But it was Mushfiqur Rahim the keeper batter who held his nerve in the final over with his 36* off 28 balls as Bangladesh got over the line with 3 balls to spare.

Curtis Campher and George Dockrell got a couple of wickets apiece. A wicket apiece for Joshua Little, Mark Adair, and Graham Hume. Andy McBrine went wicketless. Hume went for 57 runs in his 6 overs. A tough day for the bowlers and a tough loss to Ireland in the end.

So, a win for Bangladesh by 3 wickets with 3 balls to spare as they take a 1-0 lead with one game to go. Stick around for the presentation ceremony.
44.3 M Adair to M Rahim
4 FOUR! That's it, they did it, Mushfiqur Rahim did it!! Yes, you heard it right, Bangladesh have chased down 320 runs in 44.3 overs!! Back-of-length delivery on the off-stump line. Mushfiqur Rahim shuffles a touch and goes for the ramp shot over the keeper and connects it well as the ball flies over the keeper and races away for a boundary. Bangladesh wins by 3 wickets and leads the series 1-0.
It's all happening here. Mushfiqur Rahim has holed out in the deep but he reckons it's an above-waist no-ball. The umpires have a small conference and decide to send that upstairs. It is indeed above the waist height and a NO BALL has been signaled by the umpire. Free Hit coming up. Bangladesh requires 4 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim is on strike.
44.3 M Adair to M Rahim
NB Oh, is it a no-ball? Full toss delivery around the waist height. Rahim pulls it straight to deep square leg region, who stands tall and takes the catch. The third umpire reckons it's over the waist height and it's a no-ball. Single taken and Rahim is at the non-striker's end now. Free hit loading....Wait, they didn't run here and Rahim will be on the strike.
Two dots in a row. This is brilliant death bowling from Adair. 5 required from 4 balls now.
44.2 M Adair to M Rahim
0 DOT BALL!! Nails a yorker from around the wicket straight on the middle stump line. Rahim only manages to dig it out to off-side.
44.1 M Adair to M Rahim
0 Much fuller on the off-stump line. Rahim drills it down straight to mid-off. No run, a crucial dot ball from Adair.
So, we are down to the last over. What a thrilling encounter this has been. Bangladesh requires 5 runs off the last 6 balls. Mushfiqur Rahim will be on strike. Mark Adair will bowl the final over of the contest.
