Sindhu Sriharsha collects the trophyπŸ† and gives it to her teammates!!!!
Sindhu Sriharsha(Warriors Women Captain): " Yeah definitely I mean short of words honor to lead this team. It is not easy to lead but I would like to thank the support staff everybody supported us well and it has been excellent for us. Yeah, something that has been doing the last  2 weeks not for winning but its ball about love in cricket. Amazing feeling to win this, thanks"
Suzie Bates(Falcons Women Captain): " Hmm... Hayley Matthews went wrong for usπŸ˜‚. She played a brilliant inning. It's really hard to chase 230 runs. I think when you have got Chamari and Wyatt at the top, we can chase any total I guess. But their spinners bowled very well and made things difficult for us. Yeah, it was a wonderful experience."
Hayley Matthews(Player of the Match): " Yeah, it's a really great feeling and the team has really been enjoying and very good feeling for contributing this inning in the finals. Any team winning the title was a great feeling, we did our best last time but unfortunately fails, but this time we won the title. Great group of girls and working with these girls for the last 2 years was a great feeling."
Chamari Athapaththu gets the Player of the series award!!
Time for the post match presentation ceremony!!!!
14:49 IST| Warriors πŸͺ– Women are the champions πŸ† of the Fairbreak Invitational T20 2023. They dominated Falcons Women in all three departments and came out victorious. They have won this game by 93 runs. Thanks to a breathtaking πŸ₯Ά knock of 123 runs by Hayley Matthews.

Let's take a quick recap of the game. Falcons πŸ¦… Women skipper Suzie Bates won the toss and invited Warriors Women to bat first. Sindhu Sriharsha said that she was happy to bat first. Warriors πŸͺ– Women got off to a flying start. It was just Hayley Matthews's show at the start of the innings. She came with all guns blazing. Warriors Women scored 57 runs in the powerplay and lost a couple of wickets.

Hayley Matthews was just breathing fire πŸ”₯ in the middle. She played an astonishing knock of 123 runs off just 52 balls. Her knock included 9 humungous sixes and 11 fours. Kathryn Bryce didn't shy off, she shifted her gears as soon as Matthews departed. Bryce glued a partnership of 75* runs for the 5th wicket with her skipper Sindhu Sriharsha. Kathryn Bryce remained unbeaten on 52* and she was accompanied by Sriharsha (25* off 18). This duo made sure that the Warriors get to a mammoth total. Warriors posted a total of 230 runs in 20 overs.

From a bowling point of view, Falcons Women had a day to forget. They were getting hit all around the park. Anju Gurung scalped a couple of wickets but she gave away 43 runs in her 4-over spell.

Chasing a mammoth 🦣 total like 231 was never going to be an easy task. The two Veteran batters Chamari Athapaththu and Danielle Wyatt opened the innings for Falcons Women. They got off to a blistering start as the openers glued a partnership of 45 runs for the first wicket. Spinners were introduced into the play by the Warriors and they were successful in scalping a couple of wickets.

Wyatt departed after scoring 20 runs and she was followed by Chamari(29 off 17). The required run rate was piling up and the pressure was building up on the batters in the middle overs. Falcons kept on losing wickets and it looked like one-way traffic from there on. The wickets were tumbling down and Falcons never looked like they were in the game. In the end, Falcons lost this game by 93 runs as they were able to score just 137 runs in 20 overs.

Kathryn Bryce was the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors as she scalped 3 wickets and gave away just 16 runs in her 4-over spell. Hayley Matthews scalped a couple of wickets and gave away 14 runs in her 3-over spell.

Stay tuned for the post-match ceremony!!!!!
