10:45 AM IST| So this is a wrap from our side in the third place playoff of the Fairbreak Global Invitational T20 tournament 2023. I am Saptak Sanyal, signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya and Scorer/Analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay tuned at One Cricket for the upcoming Fairbreak Invitational T20 final which will be starting just after an hour and many more matches around the globe.

Good day.
Lauren Winfield-Hill (Barmy Army Women Women Skipper): "Yeah, the team has shown a lot of character today. Good to finish on a high. We have done really well in this tournament and it was important for us to finish on a good note. Deandra Dottin is a big game player. We left a few early wickets but she was awesome. Happy that she gets to finish with a strong performance and happy for the team."
Nicola Carey( Spirit Women's captain):- "Disappointing that we couldn't win our last game in the tournament but we have had a fantastic tournament. We had some excellent performances throughout the tournament at times and fourth place is not bad."
Deandra Dottin (Player of the Match): "Yes, I am quite happy with my performance. Unfortunately, we could not get past the line, but we played some good cricket. Yes, It's good to have fans supporting us. I am really thankful for them."
Deandra Dottin is the player of the match.
Time for the presentation ceremony...
10:30 AM IST| Regular fall of wickets always hinders the run rate and specially a run chase around 7.50 runs per over gets tough.

This is the thing that happened to the Spirits. Starting the run chase, Sarah Bryce initially went for some boundaries along with her partner N Chantham, but Chantham departed for 10 in the fifth over and after just two balls Naruemol Chaiwai also joined her in the pavilion reducing Spirits to 40/2 after the powerplay.

After that, Gargi Bhogle joined Bryce in the crease and was going strong by hitting some big. But Sarah Bryce departed at the 53rd ball of the chase making only 25 and Spirits were 61/3. From that onwards, next 15 balls gave them only 5 runs! That's where actually the lagging of Spirits occurred. Gargi Bhogle(25) departed after getting run out, later the captain Nicola Carey(8) also departed in a same manner.

From there, it was up to Kerry-Anne Tomlinson who could've turned the match on by her big hitting. But the Barmy bowlers did excellent to restrict her. Fatima Sana bowled an excellent second last over and Tomlinson gave three dot balls to her. The penultimate over was off just 2 runs and the equation was 33 off 6 then. Egodage bowled the last over and took Tomlinson's wicket giving away just 10 runs ensuring a 22 run victory for her team.

Earlier a Deandra Dottin brilliance helped Barmy Army to comeback from a terrible start. Dottin went for 6 sixes and as many as boundaries in her quick fire 75. Without her contribution, 147-4 would've been a dream for the Barmy Army team.

Anyways, Lauren Winfield-Hill led side is the deserving third of the tournament now.

4 FOUR! But it doesn't matter. Barmy Army Women have emerged victorious in the 3rd Place Playoff. It was tossed up on the fuller length again, Daswani gets down on one knee and sweeps that to deep backward square leg region, where the fielder dives across but was unable to match the bat speed. So, a comprehensive victory for Barmy Army as they defeat Spirit by 22 runs.
19.5 K Egodage to M Gaur
1 Fuller and in the middle, Gaur advances down the track and pushes that to deep mid-wicket for a single.
19.4 K Egodage to M Gaur
2 Good length delivery and outside off, Gaur off the backfoot rides the bounce and punches that to sweeper cover for a couple of runs.
19.3 K Egodage to M Gaur
2 Tossed fuller and on the woods, Gaur gets down on one knee and swipes that to deep square leg region for a couple of runs.

19.2 K Egodage to K Tomlinson
W WICKET! That will surely do it for the Barmy Army Women. Good length delivery and turning sharply into the middle and leg, Tomlinson advances down the track and looks to go inside out but the right-hander plays away from the body and manages to get a faint inside edge that goes straight into the gloves of the keeper and the skipper makes no mistake.
Five legal deliveries please!
19.1 K Egodage to Y Daswani
1 Over the wicket. Flighted delivery outside off, Daswani gets down on one knee and swipes that to on-side for a single.
5 sixes and a boundary or a six maximums in an over is needed. Barmy Army have almost won the match.
