09:51 AM IST:- So, that curtains down our live coverage of the 4th match of the Fairbreak Invitational T20 tournament 2023 between Warriors Women and Tornado Women. Saptak:- It is said in cricket that fielding wins you matches and when there are 7 drop catches inside just 12 overs, you can't expect a team to be in good condition.
Coming to bat, the Warriors women were batting well as Phoebe Litchfield was smashing the bowlers at times. But she got some noncooperation from her other teammates halted her approach a bit. Esha Oza was dismissed for just 3 runs in front of Diana Baig and soon Ellie Johnston was also dismissed just after hitting a boundary. Litchfield was looking strong and in the last over if powerplay he smoked Chandia Sutthiarang for a six and a four. After a couple of balls following that, Litchfield got dismissed for 27.
After that Sindhu Sriharsha and Tanya Ruma made the ship steady with their innings. But the attempts Tornado Women missed, Warriors would have been 7 or 8 down now. However Sutthiarang, Diana Baig and Alia Riaz managed to take one wicket each.
Instead they are 84/3 after the 12th when the rain came. After that the rain got heavier and heavier and continued for almost an hour.
