We've been treated with yet another nail-biting encounter and let's just hope we get to see more such exciting action between bat and ball as well roll forward.

Until then, we ask you to take care of yourselves, as this is Wali, Saipavan and Chandan signing off! Good night everyone!

What a game of cricket we've just witnessed here. The match has ended with a TIE and there's nothing to separate the two teams right here!

Batting first, Durham were bundled out for 178 from 20 overs. Opener Michael Jones started off on a positive note and scored a breezy 30 (19) before getting caught in Zaman Khan’s over, meanwhile Alex Lees was unluckily run-out at the non-striker's end for 23 (20).

Brydon Carse showed his class and powered his way to a valuable 58 (30) courtesy two fours, four sixes and a strike rate of over 190. However, it was Zaman Khan who once again got into the act and got the big wicket at a crucial juncture of the game.

Bas de Leede did add some support out there in the middle as he got to 20 (16) before getting sent back by Zak Chappel. The likes of Ashton Turner 5 (7), Ollie Robinson 8 (8) and the rest had a disappointing time with the bat as they didn't have much to offer.

Durham kept losing wickets at regular intervals which eventually made them fall short of a projected score of 200 runs.

It was Zaman Khan who was the star of the show as he bowled a terrific spell of 4-21 from four overs. Zak Chappel also contributed from the other end for Derbyshire thanks to his 4-41 from four.

As for the run-chase, the opening duo of Harry Came and Luis Reece came out all guns blazing as they struck a 52 run partnership for the first wicket from 5.3 overs. Came was the first wicket to depart after getting caught for 34 (18) during Wayne Parnell’s over.

However, it was then followed up with another 52 run stand between Luis Reece and Wayne Madsen. Reece played the role of an aggressor, whereas, Madsen anchored his innings and got to 20 (16) before getting out to Paul Coughlin.

Luis Reece did try to see off the game for Derbyshire but was ultimately dismissed by the South African international Wayne Parnell in the 18th over for 58 (47). The veteran left-arm pacer struck once again in the same over as Brooke Guest 5 (4) was out caught in the deep.

Nevertheless, it was Haider Ali who persisted with the counter attacking approach and kept the pressure on Durham with some of his lusty blows out there in the middle. With 10 required off the final over, it seemed like Derbyshire were the favourites to get the win.

But Wayne Parnell made things extremely difficult for the batters and bowled according to his field. Five runs were needed off the final ball and that’s when Parenll launched a loosner straying down leg as Haider Ali dispatched the ball to the fence at between deep square leg and deep fine leg. This led to the points getting shared as the match ended in a tie!

Haider Ali's quickfire 26 (13)* and Wayne Parnell's Spell of 3-36 were indeed the highlight of the second innings.
