Milestone
It was an exciting day of t20 cricket today. Do join us tomorrow for some new T20 action again! Until then, this is Shubham Agarwal signing off along with Ayan Chatterjee and Raju Khariya. Goodnight and happy weekend!!
Kent have chased the target of 178 runs comfortably in 19.3 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. Tawanda gave me a good start but it was Drummond(89 off 55)and Joe Denly( 41 off 29) who took the game completely away from the opposition. Hampshire scored 177/7 in the first innings. They lost 2 early wickets with Captain Vince and Toby gone. Ben McDermott(57 off 30) and Weatherley(67 off 50) stitched up half centuries and Liam Dawson played a good little cameo as well to take his team to a competitive total. Fred Klaassen and Stewart both took 2 wickets.
19.3 C Wood to J Leaning
4 FOUR! Short of a length into the pitch, Leaning pulls it away through the midwicket region as the ball races away to the fence in no time. Leaning hits the winning runs as Kent wins a crucial game by 6 wickets with 3 balls to spare to climb upwards in the table.
19.2 C Wood to J Cox
1 Short of a length here, Cox drops and runs to the leg side and scamper through for a single. A direct hit would have had the batter short of his ground.
19.1 C Wood to J Leaning
1 Over the wicket. Short of a length into the pitch, Leaning pulls it away to the midwicket region for a single and gets to the other end.
