01.28 AM IST: That's it!! Somerset have continued their domination in South Group and registered their fifth victory in five games. Today they have dominated in all three departments and have defeated Middlesex by 9 wickets.

Earlier in the game, Somerset won the toss and elected to bowl first. Middlesex started the innings with Stephen Eskinazi and Joe Cracknell, but they didn’t get a good start, as they lost two wickets in the first four overs, when 14 runs on board.

But the credit goes to Stephen Eskinazi and Max Holden. The duo took charge after the early two wickets and progressed their partnership in the middle. They glued a partnership of 36 runs. Stephen Eskinazi and Max Holden scored 18 and 22 runs respectively.

Then, Middlesex batters failed to put the score for the team and they lost the wickets in the regular intervals. Jack Davies (32 off 20) and a small cameo of 25 runs off 16 balls from Martin Andersson helped to past the 130 mark.  However, excellent bowling from Somerset bowlers helped to restrict Middlesex to 136/10 in 18.4 overs.

Ben Green was the pick of the bowlers for Somerset as he scalped 4 wickets and gave away 20 runs in his 2.4 over spell of which 3 wickets he scalped in the 19th over. Josh Davey chipped in with 3 wickets. Peter Siddle, Roelof van der Merwe, and Lewis Gregory celebrated a wicket each.

While chasing a paltry total of 137 runs. Somerset got off to a blistering start, the openers came with all guns blazing from the word go. They were just slashing their bat at everything and were finding the boundaries. Tom Banton and Will Smeed glued a partnership of 39 runs for the 1st wicket. Will Smeed departed after scoring 26 off 14 balls.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore joined Banton in the middle and kept the run rate ticking. The duo put Somerset in cruise control of the chase and glued a partnership of 36 runs before Banton Banton walked off the field retired out, who struggled with a hamstring at 27.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore continued assaulting on Middlesex bowlers and completed fifty in 28 balls and remained unbeaten till the end at 64 runs off 31 balls including 7 fours and 4 sixes. While his partner, Tom Abell added 25  important runs in 18 balls has helped Somerset to cross the victory line in the 14th over with 9 wickets in hand.

In the end, Middlesex they were unable to put any pressure on their opposition as they cruised to victory. Tom Helm got a wicket from the bowling end.
