Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Hitesh Peddurwar and Anirudh Modi alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Shubman Gill (Player of the Match): "It's all about getting the start and then converting it into a big one. I felt in the first half I was getting 40s and 50s but thankfully it's working out well at the business end. You have to keep the intent and keep applying yourself.

I think the new ball was holding a bit, as the game went on it became easier, with the rain it was difficult for the spinners to attain the grip due to wetness. The conversation was for him to just hold and keep shape instead of going hard at it which paid off in the end.

I know my game and it's important for me to be in that area, and it's important to know where you stand. It's going to an important one against Chennai, but this is the business end and we have got the bowlers to play well on that wicket. Hopefully we win that one and make it to 2 finals in a row."
Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans Captain): "Absolutely. The calmness the boys had inside and we wanted to keep the momentum going into Tuesday's game. Absolutely. Shubman was special. When he plays like that he is amazing to watch. Hard for the bowlers to bowl. We would have taken 197 at the start. But we went to death bowling early. Virat was special. But the way we bowled we need improvements for sure. The boys have shown character. To make the playoffs the way we did it was amazing. I am proud of the boys as how we made it here. It was challenging for us. Yes, now onto Chennai in MS Dhoni's place now."

12:27 AM IST| It's time for the post-match presentation ceremony....
Vijay Shankar (Gujarat Titans): "Yeah, I think going into the playoff, chasing the total near 200 is really satisfying. Personally, I feel I should have finished off the chase. I was hitting the ball pretty well so it's a good feeling.

It wasn't easy to bat initially, the ball was slowing up a bit. I guess that's the reason we failed to hit through the gaps. The way Gill played was exceptional, he just showed us how to play on different surfaces.

I have been practicing in the nets, we have six bowlers so I haven't bowled yet in the game. I think we are trying to get closer to the target not trying to do many things. We are just trying to take the game deep, we just try to be near the required run rate. With the firepower we have, we can get over the line. I  think Rashid showed us in the last game against MI, the way he played and we just lost with 20-odd runs in the end.

We have been playing good cricket and we have bowlers among the top wicket takers. It's just about taking one game at a time, to face Chennai Super Kings in Chennai would be really special."
Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain): "We are very disappointed. We get to the last game of the tournament and we wanted to make sure we get through. But Kudos to Gill and Gujarat they are a very strong side but we wish we could have won this one.

It was really wet out there today, a lot of moisture from the rain, we changed the ball 3 times, there was no grip but we thought 190 odd was a good total, Virat played brilliantly to give us a chance. From a batting perspective the top 4 contributed well, Maxwell was incredible and so were Virat and I. From a bowling perspective we were really good, and consistent through the powerplay and in the middle. We could have gotten a few more runs and a few more wickets, things could have been different today.

As a partnership, there was not even one game where we had less than 40 runs in the partnership, there is still a lot of gas left in his tank and he is playing brilliant T20 cricket right now. We need to improve in terms of finishing games at the backend. DK had a purple patch last season where he finished a lot of the games but the same could not be replicated this time around. If you look at the other teams they have 5 or 6 big hitters and that's the difference when it comes to winning the crucial game."
12:08 AM IST: Stunned silence here in Bengaluru as Shubman Gill scores back-to-back centuries to win the game for the Gujarat Titans by 6 wickets and knock Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the tournament. The Mumbai Indians will celebrate as they book their place in the Playoffs and will face Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator on Wednesday.

Chasing a stiff target of 198 for the win, Gujarat lost Wriddhiman Saha for 12. But it was the Shubman Gill show as his majestic 104* off 52 balls as he outshone Virat Kohli in the evening. He carried his bat to knock RCB out. Vijay Shankar struggled but chipped in with 53 off 35 balls from the other end. The others may have fallen, but it was the Shubman Gill show as he dazzled across under the Chinnaswamy lights. The target was achieved in 19.1 overs. 19 extras were given by the fielding side.

From RCB's bowling point of view, Mohammed Siraj kept them in the game with figures of 2/32 in 4 overs. A wicket for Harshal Patel and Vyshak Vijay Kumar. The bowling tried but they had no idea how to stop the talent called Shubman Gill as GT finishes with 20 points.

Earlier in the game, RCB put into bat first lost skipper Faf du Plessis for 28 off 19 balls. Glenn Maxwell scored 11 off 5 balls. But it was all about Virat Kohli as the King got his second consecutive hundred and his 7th in the IPL. He carried his bat much like Gill and remained unbeaten on 101* off 61 balls. Michael Bracewell chipped in with 26 off 16 balls while Anuj Rawat chipped in with 23* off 15 balls. 7 extras were given by the fielding side as RCB ended with 197/5 in 20 overs which was a competitive score at that stage.

Noor Ahmad picked up a couple of wickets for 39 runs in his 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Mohammad Shami, Yash Dayal, and Rashid Khan. Rashid had exceptional figures of 1/24 in 4 overs as he kept it tight from one end. They had no answer to Virat Kohli's superb batting but they managed to win in the end.

So, GT wins by 6 wickets with 5 balls to spare to notch up their 10th win this season as they ended with 20 points. RCB are out while Mumbai Indians are through to the playoffs now. Stick around for the presentation ceremony.
HEARTBREAK FOR RCB! Shubman Gill delivers the killer blow to knock RCB out of IPL! Mumbai Indians are through to the playoffs of IPL 2023!
19.1 W Parnell to S Gill
6 SIX SIX SIX!!!!! Gill gets to his hundred, earlier it was Virat Kohli and now it's the youngster Shubman Gill. Mumbai Indians fans are leaping with joy as they have entered the playoffs. Two centuries in a row for Shubman Gill. Fuller-length delivery, right in the slot. It was just a freebie for Gill as it was right in the slot and a free hit too. He slogs it over the long-on region and the ball sails high up in the air. It goes into the stands. Gill takes off his helmet and celebrates GT's victory and his century.
And it's RCB's turn to review the WIDE call! And the umpire sticks to the on field decision! No reviews left for RCB now! Still a free hit!
19.1 W Parnell to S Gill
WD Fuller length delivery well wide of the off-stump line, 137.1kph. Gill moves across and tries to slice it on the off-side but misses it and umpire signals it as wide. Faf takes the review but all goes in vain as it's a wide.
Shubman Gill reviews this for the height of the ball. Replays will come in now. The ball is above the waist height and this will be a no ball.
