For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Ryana Macdonald-Gay (Hero of the Match): "Yeah, definitely. I think we put out a great batting performance and it was a lot better than last night, the other night, which is what we wanted, so, yeah, it's definitely good. It feels great to have a bit of experience in competitions like this. Yeah, definitely a new challenge that I think I'm giving a go right now.

Definitely loads of help over the last couple of games. Like, learning a lot from practice games and last game. And they give great insight into the game, all the very best."

10:16 PM IST and 5:46 PM Local Time: What a terrific game we have had here at The Oval. Oval Invincibles Women hold their nerves to win the game by 5 runs against Manchester Originals Women. A brilliant bowling and fielding display has helped Oval get over the line and get their first win this season.

Chasing a target of 129 for the win, Manchester Originals never really got going and were for most of the times playing catch up. Emma Lamb was dismissed for a golden duck. Laura Wolvaardt scored 27 off 23 balls. Campbell scored a painstaking 17 off 26 balls. But it was Deandra Dottin who kept the hopes alive for the visitors as she scored a brilliant 42 off 26 balls and got out towards the end when the game was on the line. Skipper Sophie Ecclestone got into double figures but the rest of the batters faded away and they ended with 123/9 after 100 balls. 12 extras were given by the fielding side.

Ryana MacDonald-Gay was the pick of the bowlers for the home side as she picked up 4 wickets for 16 runs in 20 balls. A couple of wickets for Gray who finished with 2/18 in 20 balls. A wicket apiece for Marizanne Kapp and Scholfield in the end. Their fielders backed their bowlers and there were plenty of LBWs that went in their favour.

Earlier in the day, Oval Invincibles put into bat first got off to a slow start before they picked up steam towards the end. They lost Lauren Winfield-Hill early. Suzie Bates only made 13. But it was Alice Capsey who showed great maturity out there and scored 50 off 41 balls and she was ably supported by Dane van Niekerk as the skipper scored 42 off 23 balls. Marizanne Kapp scored 10 runs as their innings ended with a competitive 128/7 in 100 balls. 9 extras were given by the fielding side.

The wickets were shared by Manchester Originals. So, a wicket apiece for Mahika Gaur, Amanda Jade Wellington, Sophie Ecclestone and Morris. There were loads and flurry of run outs towards the end that derailed their progress of Oval Invincibles a little bit. But Manchester's batters let them down and they crush to a close 5-run defeat here.

So, a win for the defending champions Oval Invincibles by 5 runs as they move upwards in the points table. Stick around for the presentations.

1 That's it, Oval Invincibles managed to defend 128 runs here. Back of a length delivery on the stumps. Threlkeld drags it to mid-wicket for a single. Oval Invincibles Women win by 5 runs.
99b E Gray to E Threlkeld
4 FOUR! Pierces the gap in the deep! Back of a  length slower delivery on the stumps. Threlkeld hangs back and pulls it to wide of long-on where the fielder dives to her right but fails to stop it as the ball goes on a bounce over the ropes.
98b E Gray to M Gaur
1lb Full-length delivery angling on the leg stump line. Gaur misses it completely and wears it on the pads. A loud appeal but the umpire is unmoved. They send it upstairs and the ball tracking indicates it's missing the stumps. So, the decision remains the same. A leg bye single is added.
97b E Gray to George
W WICKET! CAUGHT! Full-length delivery on the off-stump line. George makes room and plays it uppishly towards short covers but fails to time it well as the short covers fielder MacDonald-Gay flies to her left and takes a stunner here.
96b E Gray to E Threlkeld
1 Over the wicket. Back of a length delivery angling into the stumps. runs it down to short third man and sneaks a single.
13 runs needed off 5 balls. Moreover, Oval Invincibles are behind the over rate and so the extra fielder is inside the circle.

W CAUGHT! Another nail in the coffin! Back of a length slower delivery on the off-stump line. Bryce on the back foot tries to pull it over the short mid-wicket but mistimes it straight into the hands of the short mid-wicket where Scholfield takes a sitter.
95b R MacDonald-Gay to K Bryce
WD Good length delivery outside off. Wide signaled by the umpire.
