That's it from all of us for this game. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Zeeshan Naiyer. Good Day.
4:35 PM IST, 12:05 PM Local Time: There you go. The rain has the final say as the game is abandoned without a ball being bowled. Both Manchester Originals Women and London Spirit Women share a point each. Let's hope that the rain stops and we get some action in the Men's Hundred fixture which is not far away.

4:18 PM IST, 11:48 AM Local Time: Nothing new to update. It continues to rain here in Manchester. Let's hope we get some action in this women's game. Also, the men's game between the Manchester Originals and London Spirit will be played at the same venue later today.
3:35 PM IST, 11:05 AM Local Time: It's still raining at Old Trafford and the waiting game continues. The cut-off time for a 25-ball per side contest is 1:11 PM Local Time (5:41 PM IST).
2:58 PM IST, 10:28 AM Local Time: Not a good news folks to start the double-header Saturday. It's raining heavily in Manchester right now and the toss has been delayed.

Remember, both these sides' respective opening fixtures were washed out and they will be eager to step on the field today.

Pitch Report: The pitch at the Emirates Old Trafford assists both batters and bowlers. The pacers may get some initial movement with the new ball but the surface settles as the game progresses and becomes good for batting.
2:30 PM IST, 10 AM Local Time: Welcome to the coverage of the sixth game of the Women’s Hundred 2023 between the Manchester Originals Women and the London Spirit Women from the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. I’m Akshay Bhide and I'll be taking you through the ball-by-ball updates of this contest along with scorer Zeeshan Naiyer.
In the ongoing Women's Hundred, Manchester Originals and London Spirit both had disappointing starts. Due to the unfavorable weather, their matches against Welsh Fire and Oval Invincibles, respectively, were called off without a ball being bowled. They will face off on August 5 at Old Trafford in the hopes of playing at least a little cricket.

A strong batting lineup led by Heather Knight, Richa Ghosh, Amelia Kerr, and Grace Harris distinguishes The Spirit. Additionally, they have Tara Norris and Lauren Filer, who recently had a fantastic Ashes campaign. The trio of Kerr, Sarah Glenn, and Charlie Dean has arguably formed the most formidable spin department in the competition, which will only make things worse for the opposition.

The Originals have dynamic openers Deandra Dottin and Laura Wolvaardt, who have the ability to light the stage on fire right away. The onus will be on star spin duo Amanda-Jade Wellington and Sophie Ecclestone to give their side breakthroughs at regular intervals. On paper, though, they appear to be a weaker team than the Spirit, who feature match-winners all throughout their lineup.

Join us for the live coverage at 2.30 PM IST.
