That's it from this game and from Ireland's tour of Bangladesh. We hope you have enjoyed our coverage. Do join us for more cricketing actions across the globe in our network across formats. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentators Deepak Prakash and Ninaad Dixit alongside scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Shakib Al Hasan goes across to BCB Chief Najmul Hossain and collects the trophy and then hands over to his team mates as they begin to celebrate and so they should as they deserved the win.
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh Captain): "Yes, I mean normally we don't play in these kind of wickets. Credit to Ireland. They played well and fought hard. But Taijul bowled well and the fast bowlers bowled well. We have areas to improve as well. I think we wanted to experiment and we did. Areas to improve. We are looking to change our approach and we want to do well. This is not the ideal Test wicket and depends on whom we are playing. But this was a good batting track and I loved the challenge that we faced. Happy to win with some areas to work on."
Mushfiqur Rahim (Player Of The Match): "I enjoyed a lot because the team wins which is the most important part and I thought throughout the Test match the team shows the character because it was a flat deck and there was nothing enough for the bowlers. So they had to work really hard. Also credit goes to Ireland, they batted really well in the second innings.

When you are playing on a track which is a little up and little down, you need to start really well. The intensity and the positive intent is very important the way Litton batted upfront with Tamim in the chase. That was a very crucial partnership for us. If they took two or 3 early wickets, we could have been under pressure.

We need to play really well in the longer format. Team deserves some credit taking 20 wickets on that flat deck. Hats off to them."
Mushfiqur Rahim is the player of the match.
Andrew Balbirnie (Ireland Captain): "We were really resilient. We all had a great time playing Test cricket once more. Although we put up a lot of fights, it obviously wasn't enough to win. We are still getting used to the fact that when we win the toss and choose to bat in these conditions, we must score more runs and bat for longer stretches of time. In the second inning, we did that.

There are so many reasons to be delighted, including Andy's masterful use of the bat and ball, Lorcan's century, and Harry's two match-winning fifties. Thanks to everyone at the BCB, we had a great time here and would want to return someday to play better cricket."

1PM IST: Mushfiqur Rahim hits the winning runs as Bangladesh wins the Test match by 7 wickets. A comfortable victory for the home side in the end, but not before facing stiff resistance for Ireland throughout the game.

Let's recap how the Test match unfolded for the course of the four days that we had. It was Ireland skipper Andy Balbirnie who won the toss and opted to bat first and could muster 214 runs. They got there due to Harry Tector's 50 and Lorcan Tucker's 37. Curtis Campher chipped in with 34 as well alongside Mark Adair's 32. Taijul Islam picked up 5 wickets in the first innings. While a couple of wickets were taken by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Ebadot Hossain. Shoriful picked up the other wicket.

In reply, Bangladesh recovered from 40/3 to 369 all out thanks to a majestic 10th Test ton from Mushfiqur Rahim as he scored 126 off 166 balls. He was ably supported by Shakib Al Hasan as the skipper scored a quickfire 87 off 94 balls. Litton Das chipped in with 43 and Mehidy Hasan Miraz chipped in with a useful 55. Andy McBrine was the star with 6/118 to his name. A couple of wickets apiece for Ben White and Mark Adair.

Faced with a deficit of 155 runs, Ireland were in trouble at 13/4 in the evening of Day 2. But they recovered from 27/4 at the start of Day 3 to get to 292 in the end. Thanks first to Harry Tector for his gritty 56. Then it was the Lorcan Tucker show as the keeper batter scored a majestic first Test hundred as he scored 108. Andy McBrine chipped in with a crucial 72 runs as Ireland set up a target of 138 runs for Bangladesh to chase. Taijul Islam picked up 4 wickets in the second innings and 9 in the match. Ebadot cleaned up the tail as he picked up 3 wickets while Shakib the skipper picked up a couple of wickets.

Chasing 138 for the win, Litton Das gave the side a head start to the chase with 23 off 19 balls. Tamim Iqbal played well for his 31 off 65 balls. Shanto fell cheaply again. But it was the keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim who guided the ship home. He was unbeaten on 51* off 48 balls. Mominul Haque was with him on 20* off 22 balls when the winning runs were hit in the end.

A wicket apiece for Mark Adair, Andy McBrine, and Ben White. The Irish tried their best to defend this. But this was a bridge too far as Bangladesh went on to win the game by 7 wickets.

So, Bangladesh wins this one-off Test by 7 wickets in what was an entertaining encounter through the course of the four days. Stick around for the presentation ceremony.
