That's it from Qualifier 1 which saw a resounding win for Multan Sultans as they advance to the finals. Lahore Qalandars will have a second chance on Friday against the winner of tomorrow's clash between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi. Join us tomorrow for the Elimnator between Islamabad and Peshawar and stick around to our network for all other cricketing actions across the globe.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans Captain): "The ball was coming nicely onto the bat early on but the wicket was a lot more difficult to score on afterward. Looked like a double-paced pitch and we were eyeing something around 170. Kieron Pollard and Tim David did exceptionally well at the backend to help us post a good total. Rashid Khan is a world-class bowler and he dried up the runs in the middle overs but again, Pollard and David did well in the end."
Kieron Pollard (Player of the Match): "It was a challenging one. Rawalpindi was a field day and it was all about adjusting and doing well. Planning was the key and we did well. No practise and we won on the minds. Lahore are a great side and they beat us twice. We had to rebuild after we lost our way we came back and me and Tim got them to a good score. Yes, we are happy to be there. A few days off and then see how we go about in the final. I am sure we will do well. Thank You."
Time for the presentation.
Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): "We were going to bowl first after winning the toss and this wasn't a huge total to hunt down. If your primary batter gets out early on in the innings, it becomes difficult for the middle order to adapt to the conditions. We have one day now and we have to find a way to bounce back. We will try and improve in the next game. A good catch and a good run out can win you matches and we have to work hard on our fielding now before Eliminator 2. The conditions were breezy in the second half and Sheldon Cottrell made the most out of it."
Anwar Ali (Multan Sultans): "It was outstanding as a team effort. I tried to stick with the basics and hits the right lengths. We are through to the finals for the third time and it was a great team effort. We were positive today and we thought 160-170 can prove difficult for the chasing side. We just have to enjoy our cricket now. Rizwan is leading the team really well; he asks us to bowl according to what we have in mind."
10:55 PM IST: A convincing win for the Multan Sultans as they have outclassed the Lahore Qalandars by 84 runs in this Qualifier 1 and qualify for the finals for the third consecutive year. The Qalandars just did not turn up tonight and the Sultans turned up to reach the finals.

Chasing 161 on a tricky surface, the Qalandars never got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals and were in the doldrums from the get go. Sheldon Cottrell did the damage in the powerplay for the Sultans and the rest followed suit. Only three players got into double digits. Sam Billings was the highest of them with 19 off 27 balls. Haris Rauf had some fun out there with 15 off 13 balls. David Wiese scored 12 off 12 balls. The rest of the batters had a night to forget. 11 extras were given by the fielding side which was the next best score as Lahore were bowled out for 76 in 14.3 overs.

Sheldon Cottrell was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/20 in 3 overs. Usama Mir picked up a couple of wickets in his 2 overs giving away 12 runs. A wicket apiece for Anwar Ali, Abbas Afridi, Ihsanullah, and Kieron Pollard who only bowled a single over.

Winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Multan Sultans got off to a steady start courtesy of their openers Usman Khan and skipper Mohammad Rizwan. The duo made sure that they scored 46 runs inside the powerplay. The duo put on 53 runs inside 8 overs before Usman fell for 29 off 28 balls. Rizwan scored 33 off 29 balls while Rossouw missed out today with his 13 off 12 balls. But it was the Kieron Pollard show as he scored a breath-taking 57 off 34 balls to power the team to a competitive total. Tim David gave him good company with his unbeaten 22 off 15 balls as they reached 160/5 with 5 extras given by the fielding side.

Haris Rauf came back well with the ball and bowled a brilliant last over to finish with 3/34 in 4 overs. Rashid Khan was miserly as ever with figures of 1/18 in 4 overs. The other wicket fell to Zaman Khan. Shaheen Afridi had a day to forget going wicketless in his 4 overs and scored a duck while batting.

So, a win for Multan Sultans by 84 runs as they advance to the finals for the third year in a row. Stick around for the presentation ceremony.
14.3 A Afridi to H Rauf
W Has he edged that? Yes, he has! Multan Sultans are through to the Finals for the third consecutive time in the PSL and they are elated in the middle. They have trounced the reigning champions by a whopping 84 runs. Touch fuller and outside off, Rauf again takes a big swing of his blade and goes for a heave down the ground but plays the inside line on this occasion and gets a faint outside edge. Mohammad Rizwan is never going to drop those and Afridi gets his first wicket of the match. The Lahore Qalandars are bundled out for 76 and it was a comprehensive performance from Sultans to overpower the table-toppers.
14.2 A Afridi to H Rauf
0 Short of a length and on the top of middle, Rauf goes for a wild hoick across the line but misses it to the keeper, no run.
14.1 A Afridi to H Rauf
0 Back of a length delivery on the off-pole with the pace being taken off, Rauf hangs back and drops that in front of covers for a dot.

13.5 U Mir to D Wiese
W Appeal and up goes the finger! Wiese reviews that straightaway. It was short and flat again in the middle stump line and quicker through the air. Wiese once again transfers his weight back and goes for a wild hoick across the line but the right-hander fails to get any contact off the blade on this occasion and gets rapped on the pads. The replay shows three reds and Wiese will have to walk back for 12. Multan just a wicket away now from glory.
