So, this is a wrap from our side as we finish the last group league match of PSL 2023 between Lahore Qalanders and Karachi Kings. I am Saptak Sanyal, signing on the behalf of my co-commentator Prince Suman and our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar from the game. Hope you have enjoyed our coverage. Imad Wasim( captain, Karachi Kings):- "We understood that there are youngsters whom we should have given a game earlier. The frustration for me is that we were not on the winning track. The result always matters but what is keeping me happy that the way we played. We were injury affected since the start. Mohammad Amir missed out few games, Shoaib Malik got fever and missed today's game. Our prime target was to contribute some local cricketers for Pakistan cricket . As far as my individual performance is concerned, I have done well in the T20 tournaments recently and hopefully we will comeback next year well."
Mohammad Akhlaq:- "I was instructed to play my natural game. I and Tayyab decided to take the game deep as the wicket was not easy. I was out for a lot of match and I learnt a lot of good things from my senior cricketers."
Imran Tahir gets the best bowler of the match award

Player of the match award goes to the season debutant Mohammad Akhlaq.
David Wiese (Lahore Qalandars captain): "We didn't perform at our best there. It was disappointing to come out here and disappoint the audience. In comparison to Pindi, this competition is fairer. As a bowler, you have no chance there. The wicket over here is better for playing better cricket. simply an improved cricket pitch in general. We were only off by 10% to 15% today. Had a different vibe without Shaheen leading the way. We worked hard to place in the top two and are definitely looking forward to the playoffs. I have a good feeling that it will sell out. aspire to represent the supporters well at the upcoming game."
23:20 PM IST| Chasing a huge total like 197, the chasing team needs to use the powerplay as much as they can but when two experienced batters like Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique fell cheaply, the journey became tough for the Lahore Qalanders.

Fakhar timed few balls very well in the first over but in the 3rd over he top edged one off Mohammed Umar and later after his dismissal, Qalanders lost Abdullah Shafique(2) and Kamran Ghulam(11) departed to make Qalanders three down inside the powerplay. Things were not easy for Sam Billings and Hussain Talat. Billings got dismissed for 11 and Talat ended up being the top run scorer in the match for Qalanders with his run a ball 25.

Skipper David Wiese, Shane Dadswell were failure to even score two digit. Rashid Khan was with high intent but was unable to score and after receiving a blow on his helmet, he left the ground afterwards. It was a losing game then for Qalanders but Haris Rauf swung his bat well to score 18 runs to reduce the defeat margin for his team.
Imad Wasim, Akif Javed, Mohammad Umar and Imran Tahir scalped two wicket each and James Fuller took one to register a consolation win off 86 runs for his team

Batting first, Karachi Kings scored 197 as Mohammed Akhlaq and Imad Wasim scored big for them. Tayyab Tahir contributed well in the start and Ben Cutting scored a quick fire 33 to post 196.

Lahore Qalanders will be finding a way to comeback before the qualifier match on wednesday and the win will be as a consolation win for Karachi Kings to finish their season on a good note.
