Milestone
That's it from this game. Join us for another PSL game tomorrow and stick around to our network for all other cricketing actions across the globe. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya alongside scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): "We did not feel we had a low score on board. As I mentioned earlier, we have a good bowling attack and they can deliver in crunch situations. Our batting is also doing good and I hope they keep doing that. Abdullah Shafique and Sam Billings stitched a brilliant partnership that got us to 180, which is a good total in T20 cricket. We have planned to try out our bench strength and give chances to other players before the playoffs."
Rashid Khan (Player of the Match):"Yes, thanks to the almighty for the performance. Just keep it simple and keep the basics right. I just stick to that and get my reward. I enjoy my cricket and T20s is my favourite. I don't plan as such. I know my areas to bowl to and do that. I just stick to right lines and lengths and don't bowl too many loose balls. That is the mantra. I spoke to the batters. This wicket was not easy and if I hit the right area, the right result will come for me. Thank You so much and would like to continue my good work in the coming matches."
Time for the presentation ceremony.
Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans Captain): "We delivered a lot of wides. The momentum shifted when Rashid Khan came to bowl after the powerplay and we kept losing wickets after that. We need to work on not losing wickets after the powerplay. We bowled a lot of wides at the start of the innings. We did come back in the second half but the initial overs hurt our chances. We promoted Usama Mir up the over to target Rashid. We need to keep things simple. We have the best power hitting in the world. If we control the powerplay overs, we can win any fixture."
Zaman Khan: "Feels really good. We play like a family and the team environment is good. Enjoying very much here. The skipper treats me and brings me on whenever a wicket is needed. Feels good when experienced players trust you. I try not to get pressured and stay calm to execute my plans in the death overs."
11:40 PM IST: So, a comfortable win for Lahore Qalandars by 21 runs to complete the double over Multan Sultans and becomes the first team to qualify for the playoffs. They have outplayed Multan in all facets of the game to get another win and they deserve this win.

Chasing a stiff target of 181 for the win, Sultans got off to a steady start with Shan Masood scoring 19 and Mohammad Rizwan scoring 30 off 27 balls. But they were slow off the blocks one felt. Usama Mir scored 17 off 11 balls. Rossouw scored 12 off 10 balls. Kieron Pollard scored 39 off 28 balls in the end to reduce the margin of defeat. Khushdil Shah scored 10 while Anwar Ali scored 17* off 12 balls. But it was a bridge too far as they ended with 159/7 in 20 overs. 10 extras were given by the fielding side.

Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Lahore Qalandars with figures of 3/15 in 4 overs. Sikandar Raza, Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf, and Hussain Talat got a wicket each. Shaheen Afridi went wicketless but kept things tight giving away only 29 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier in the game, the Qalandars lost Fakhar Zaman for a bronze duck. Tahir Baig got 17 off 11 balls. Abdullah Shafique played well for his 48 off 35 balls. The keeper batter Sam Billings top scored with 54 off 35 balls. Sikandar Raza got 14 off 8 balls. David Wiese was unbeaten on 15* off 12 balls. 14 extras was given by the fielding side as they ended with 180/9 in 20 overs.

The wickets were shared by the Sultan bowlers. A couple of wickets for Anwar Ali, Ihsanullah, Abbas Afridi, Kieron Pollard alongside a wicket to Sameen Gul. They gave away too many runs and thus paid the price in the end.

So, a win by 21 runs as Lahore Qalandars become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. Stick around for the presentations.

4 FOUR! Afridi does score a boundary but Lahore Qalandars continue their winning streak at their home venue. The defending champions are through to the playoffs now with this victory. Fuller length delivery and angled into the middle, Afridi follows the line and lifts it over the bowler's head as the ball runs away towards the boundary ropes. Another convincing performance from the home side and they continue their domination at Gaddafi stadium.

19.5 H Talat to K Pollard
W WICKET! Rashid Khan takes a simple catch and Pollard's stay comes to an end. Fuller length delivery in the middle stump line, Pollard again looks to whip it away towards the on-side but gets the inner half of his bat that finds Rashid Khan near deep mid-wicket. The right-hander departs after a quick 39.
800th six for Kieron Pollard in T20 cricket.
19.4 H Talat to K Pollard
6 SIXX MORE! Pollard keeps going here and dispatches the poor delivery into the stands. A low-full toss on the pads, Pollard brings his bottom hand into the play by flicking that over deep mid-wicket region for a maximum.
19.3 H Talat to K Pollard
0 Fuller and outside off with the pace being taken off, Pollard takes a little shuffle across and goes for a wild heave but misses it to the keeper, no run.
19.3 H Talat to K Pollard
WD WIDE! Short of a length delivery that bumps way over Pollard's head. The right-hander leaves that to the keeper.
19.2 H Talat to K Pollard
4 FOUR NOW! Good length delivery and in the middle and off, Pollard hangs back and pulls that firmly towards deep mid-wicket region as the ball races away towards the ropes after a couple of bounces. Pollard is into his natural element now.
19.1 H Talat to K Pollard
6 SIXX! Another flat maximum from Pollard. Fuller length delivery in the arc of the right-hander. Pollard takes a little shuffle across and clobbers that towards vacant cow corner region as the ball flies into the stands. An 87 M maximum.

WD Talat will bowl the first over and starts with a wayward delivery. Fuller and angling down the leg, Pollard misses the glance to the keeper, no run.
