That's it for this game. The Super Smash Final is set. It will be Canterbury Kings against the Northern Brave from Hagley Oval, Christchurch on Saturday. Do join us for this grand finale and for all other cricketing action across the globe, stick with us in our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Jeet Raval (Northern Brave Captain): "Quality performance all around. Seifert and Clarke at the top did really well for us. The bowler's executing their plans in such conditions was really pleasing. Yes, it was a stop-and-start season so far but happy to carry the momentum forward. Most of the boys have good performances under their belt so lots of confidence in the group. Pretty much have the same preparations for the Final against Canterbury. Train accordingly, and come up with a reply. It will be a tough game in their backyard but we will give our best shot."
Dean Foxcroft (Otago Volts Captain): "It's been an interesting morning for me. The boys battled well and did well. But we were not good enough. He is doing well and standing up. Yes, we could have chased it down. The bowlers pulled it back a bit. Credit to our batters for the fight they showed. Plenty of positives for us and the young guys stepped up when it was needed. Yes, good to have a good season and hope to do better in the next season."
Katene Clarke (GameChanger of the match): "It was very enjoyable in the middle. I tried to get on top of the bowlers early on. Some came off the middle today and some didn't. But pretty happy with the performance. Full credit to my opening partner Seifert."
6:50 AM IST: So, Northern Brave are through to finals as they beat the Otago Volts by 16 runs under the DLS Method. They put the runs on the board and then did enough with the ball in this rain-reduced game to win and book their place in the finals. The defending champions are through and will play the Kings on Saturday.

Chasing a revised target of 177 in 15 overs due to rain, Otago lost Gibson early for 1. Dale Phillips scored 13. Dean Foxcroft scored a quickfire 39 off 16 balls. Llew Johnson scored a quick 20 off 13 balls. Josh Finnie played well and almost took the game away for his 43 off 22 balls. Max Chu scored 16. Ben Lockrose scored 13. They tried their best, but it was a bridge too far to climb for the Volts as they ended with 160/9 in 15 overs. 5 extras were given by the fielding side.

Neil Wagner was the pick of the bowlers for the Brave with figures of 3/30 in 3 overs. Tim Pringle bowled miserly for his 3 overs and picked up 2 wickets for 19 runs. Brett Hampton picked up a couple of wickets and kept the runs down. Joe Walker had a wicket to his name as well. There was a run-out involved as well.

Earlier in the game, Northern Brave put into bat first and got off to a blazing start courtesy of openers Tim Seifert and Katene Clarke. The duo dominated the powerplay and were only halted by rain. Clarke was the standout batter with 73 off 39 balls. Seifert looked good for his 42 off 23 balls. Hampton played well for his 44 off 23 balls. Mitchell Santner’s unbeaten 18* off 10 balls took the score to 199/4 in 18 overs as two rain interruptions reduced the overs.

Ben Lockrose picked up a wicket for 34 runs in his 4 overs and kept things tight here. Matt Bacon picked up a couple of wickets for 43 runs in 4 overs. The other wicket fell to Michael Rippon who gave away 35 runs in 3 overs. It was a hard day with the ball for the Volts as practically all of them were taken to the cleaners.

So, a win by 16 runs under DLS for Northern Brave as they are through to the finals against Canterbury Kings on Saturday. Stick around for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way.

14.6 B Hampton to J Duffy
W THAT'S IT! The defending champions are through to the Finals and will collide with Canterbury Kings for the silverware. It would be a replication of the previous season’s Final as the Brave have thwarted Otago by 16 runs here. Magnificent scenes here at the University Oval. Hampton bangs it short on the top of middle and leg, Duffy swivels and goes for a hoick towards on-side but fails to get any timing behind that. Cooper stationed at the deep square leg completes the catch with ease.
14.5 B Hampton to J Duffy
2 Hard-length and outside off, Duffy launches down the ground as it lands safely towards long-on for a couple.

14.4 B Hampton to M Rae
W RUN OUT! Back of a length delivery and angling away from off, Rae was early on the pull and starts to scamper across for a single. Seifert was quick to throw that back to the stumps and Finnie is well-short of his crease.

14.3 B Hampton to M Rippon
W CAUGHT! That will surely do it for the Brave. Hard-length and angling away from the middle, Rippon makes room and goes for a heave down the ground but gets the toe end of his bat that flies straight to Jeet Raval at mid-off. A simple catch for the skipper and Rippon departs for 8.
14.2 B Hampton to M Rippon
2 Drags his length back again with the pace being taken off in the middle, Rippon goes for a hook but fails to generate enough power and the ball rolls to deep mid-wicket for a couple.
14.1 B Hampton to M Rippon
2 Back of a length delivery with the pace being taken off outside off, Rippon opens up his stumps and lifts that over the bowler's head to scamper back for the second.
23 off the final over is required now. A brilliant over from Wagner under the context of the game. 9 runs and a wicket off the over.
