That brings us to the end of the coverage of this fantastic encounter between Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Gulf Giants. It was Gulf Giants' day today as they sneaked away with a victory. Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentator Karthik Raj and scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Until then stay safe....
Sanchit Sharma(Player of the match): " I would like to thank giants for picking me in their team and giving me the opportunity to play. It's my first franchise cricket match. I was a bit nervous at the start. The third wicket I got was a really good one. The seniors and captains helped me a lot."
James Vince(Gulf Giants Skipper): "It's a great start. The bowlers set up the game for us. The target was low and it was easy to chase it down. It's nice to have a lot of options, but at certain times it can be confusing. It was outstanding today. We had a few practice games here so the preparation was pretty well. We have a game tomorrow so it will be a quick turnaround."
Sunil Narine(Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Skipper): " Yeah if we would have scored a few more runs then the situation would have been different. The guys are in good spirit, Let's hope that we will come back stronger in the next game."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony!!!!
18:45 IST| Gulf Giants have started their ILT20 campaign with a victory. They won this game by 6 wickets. On the flip side, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders are yet to open their winning account in this season.

Earlier in the game, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat first. But this decision backfired them as their batters failed to put on a good score on the board. ADKR batters failed miserably as only two batters were able to get to the 20-run mark. Andre Russell was the top scorer for his team as he scored 26 runs.

Gulf Giants were exceptional with the ball in hand. They didn't allow the Knight Riders batters to get over them. The local boy Sanchit Sharma was excellent with the new ball. He scalped 3 wickets and gave away just 9 runs. Chris Jordan bowled pretty well too as he scalped 3 wickets. Gulf Giants restricted the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders to a total of 114 runs.

While chasing a paltry total of 115 runs, Gulf Giants didn't get off to the desired start as they lost the wicket of Rehan Ahmed in the third over. But skipper James Vince and Ollie Pope held the fort pretty well and scored at a brisk rate in the powerplay. Gulf Giants scored 50 runs in the powerplay with the loss of just one wicket.

Knight Riders' bowlers failed to put a break on the runs in the powerplay. Skipper James Vince led his team from the front and scored 65 runs off 44 balls. He glued a partnership of 75 runs for the 2nd wicket with Ollie Pope.

ADKR skipper Narine scalped two wickets in the 12th over and tried to build pressure on the Giants. Giants lost a wicket in the 13th over too. In a matter, of time then went from 1-94 to 4-95.

But that didn't stop the Gulf Giants from chasing down this total. They chased down this total in just 14.2 overs. Although they chased down the total in 14.1 overs there was a bit of confusion regarding the score and one extra ball was bowled.

Stay tuned with us as we will be back with the post match presentation ceremony!!!
