James Fuller: "We were chasing 140 and it just didn't come off. 2 good overs and the game was over. It was difficult to execute out there with the wet ball. If Carlos would have played for 2 more overs then you never know maybe the momentum would have shifted. We have 2 more games to go and hopefully we will get back better and on the winning side."

The Northern Warriors scored 141 runs for the loss of three wickets in 10 overs earlier after opting to bat first in the first inning. From the very first over, Usman Khan and Adam Lyth started destroying the bowler. Adam Lyth was unbeaten after scoring 54 runs off 24 balls, while Usman Khan scored 65 runs off 24. For the Braves, Olly Stone claimed a couple of wickets.
The Chennai Braves didn't get off to the best start in responding to 141 runs because they lost Adam Rossington in the third over. After only nine runs off seven balls, he left the game. Today, Dawid Malan found it difficult to put up runs quickly, he departed after scoring 15 runs off 12 balls.
James Fuller and Carlos Brathwaite took charge of batting in the middle, and the duo started batting at a brisk pace, but the pair were able to score only 36 runs for the third wicket, as Carlos Brathwaite departed after scoring 27 runs off 13 balls and was soon joined by the skipper Raza, who departed without opening his account.
