That's all from our side as well. The New Zealand tour of Pakistan has come to an end, with the BlackCaps finally managing to clinch a victory in the final match of the series. Despite the win, the visitors still ended up losing the series 4-1, with Pakistan emerging as the dominant team. The Men in Green had a chance to maintain their number-one position in the ODI rankings by winning the final match, but they were unable to do so. The series was a long and intense one, featuring a total of five T20I and ODI matches. Overall, it was an entertaining and closely fought contest between two skilled teams, with Pakistan emerging as the deserved winner.

I hope you enjoyed our coverage. We will meet again for now this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya and scorer Yogesh Kumar. Stay safe and stay happy. CHEERS! 🎉🎉
Babar Azam receives the trophy. The team is now celebrating their victory and posing for photographs with the trophy.
Tom Latham (New Zealand Captain): "Yeah, we put up a great performance today. Will Young was fantastic at the top of the order and the score was just above par. I think for us to take wickets upfront was really important. It was a complete performance. Shipley was able to find the right lengths on this wicket and was consistent throughout his stint.

Yeah, if you look back from the start of the T20Is and then the ODIs, it was all about improvement for us. It was to expose guys to different roles which they haven't even been exposed to before at the International level. We have seen some great performances as well. Yeah, it wasn't an ideal result from a team point of view but we have improved from game to game."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Definitely, we didn't finish the way we thought. Our batting performance at the top was not up to the mark, and although Agha and Iftikhar put up a decent partnership, we ended up conceding too many runs to the opposition.

As a team, we should always be ready to deliver our best performance, regardless of the conditions. Our performance today could have been better, but overall, it was a good series for us. Our bowlers showed consistency and performed exceptionally well throughout the tour.

Our objective was to assess our bench strength, and we are pleased to see a lot of positives coming out of this series. It has given us a better understanding of our team's capabilities and areas of improvement.

We were able to successfully chase targets of 300-plus and also defend totals under 300, which is a testament to the team's all-round performance. Overall, it was a good series for us, and we are satisfied with the outcome."
Fakhar Zaman (Player of the Series): "I expected to score more runs in Karachi but unfortunately, that didn't work out. You are never satisfied in cricket no matter how much you score. As a team, we were searching for a good lower-order batting order and we have completed our quest in this series. The way Salman and Iftikhar played was fantastic. I would work on my mistake and prepare for the World Cup. Good win overall."
Henry Shipley is awarded the player of the match. Latham will collect the prize on behalf of Shipley.

11:49 PM IST | After four consecutive defeats, New Zealand finally has a taste of success in the ODI series. They have thwarted Pakistan by 47 runs in the fifth and final game of the series to elude a whitewash. With this defeat, Pakistan has also failed to retain their number one spot in the ODI ranking, and the Babar Azam-led side has slipped to third place now. It was a comprehensive performance from the Kiwis in all departments to end the series on a positive note.

Chasing a stiff total of 300, Fakhar Zaman and Shan Masood started the Pakistan innings on a sedate note. Adam Milne and Matt Henry operated the new ball and both the right-armers bowled immaculate lines in the powerplay. The boundaries were hard to manufacture early on in the innings owing to some top-notch pace bowling. Pakistan only posted 29 off the first seven overs before Masood succumbed to building pressure and departed for a scratchy 7(20).

In the following over, Henry Shipley lured the Pakistan skipper into a trap and gave the visitors a whip hand in the contest. Babar was dismissed on 1(5) in his 100th ODI game. Gloveman Mohammad Rizwan got together with Fakhar and brought some respite with a sluggish 22-run partnership for the 3rd wicket but the Kiwi paces kept on hitting the right areas. Rizwan’s stay was ceased on 9(15) after being trapped by Shipley. Tom Latham brought in the spinner at the right juncture and Rachin Ravindra immediate impact on the game. The left-arm spinner removed the in-form Fakhar for 33(64).

Tottering at 66/4, Iftikhar Ahmed joined forces with Agha Salman to salvage Pakistan from a collapse. The right-hander duo soaked in the pressure and kept the scorecard moving at a decent rate. Salman secured back-to-back half-centuries in the series while Iftikhar brought up his maiden half-century in ODI cricket. Just when the pair was stepping on the gas, Shipley broke the 97-run stand for the 5th wicket by dismissing 57(57). That was soon followed by quick wickets of Shadab Khan 14(14) and Usama Mir 20(15).

Following Salman’s wicket, Pakistan collapsed like a house of cards and Iftikhar did not attain any support from the other end. Nonetheless, Iftikhar played a belligerent knock of 94*(72) and almost rescued the hosts. Henry Shipley was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand and finished his stint on 3/34 in 9 overs. Rachin Ravindra also scalped three wickets while Henry, Milne, and Sodhi extracted a wicket each.

Earlier in the day, after winning the flip for the third time in a row, Tom Latham opted to bat first hoping for a change of fortune. Will Young and Tom Blundell commenced the New Zealand innings cautiously and only aggregated 32 runs off the first seven overs before Mohammad Wasim Jr struck in his opening over and removed Blundell for 15(22). Henry Nicholls paired with Young to forge a 51-run partnership for the second wicket before Usama Mir got better off Nicholls 23(30).

Skipper Tom Latham was the next batter in and developed another partnership with Young to keep the Kiwis in the game. The right-hander Young stepped on the gas in the middle overs while Latham also brought out some sweeps and kept the scorecard ticking. The 74-run stand for the third wicket ceased when Young was outwitted by Shadab Khan on 87(91). Mark Chapman was quick to gather the momentum back for New Zealand. The southpaw went on an assault in the 34th over and hammered Salman Agha for 22 runs.

The southpaw Chapman was dismissed by Shadab on 43(33) courtesy of a well-anticipated catch by Rizwan. Following Chapman’s wicket, New Zealand drifted away from the right course and lost wickets in a cluster. Latham completed his 21st half-century in ODI cricket and Rachin Ravindra added a crucial 28(20) that almost cruised New Zealand to 300. All the Pakistan bowlers were successful in extracting wickets barring Agha Salman. Shaheen scalped the most breakthroughs and ended his stint on 3/46. Stick around for the post-match presentation!

Umpire check for runout at the bowler's end! This seems really tight and the replay shows Haris is well short of the crease despite a full-fledged dive. OUT has been signaled on the big screen and that would be the job done for New Zealand.
46.1 M Henry to I Ahmed
1W Fuller delivery around the tramline. Iftikhar reaches the line of the ball and drives it to the covers region. The pair hustles for the second run but a direct hit at the bowler's end and Rauf is inches away from the crease when the bails are dislodged. The third umpire checks for a run-out and it's an easy decision for him. Pakistan are bundled out for 252 runs. A victory for the BlackCaps in the ODI series and they end the tour on a high note.
