That's a wrap on our coverage of the 4th ODI in Karachi. Join us for the fifth ODI on Sunday at the same venue to see if Pakistan can complete a 5-0 whitewash against New Zealand. Stick around to our network for all the other cricketing actions across the globe.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash, and Megh Mandaliya alongside scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain & Player of the Match): "Yeah, it's a complete team effort to become the number-one ranked team. The credit goes to the boys. My journey has been good. I joined the camp 9 years back and it has been a memorable journey so far. PCB, my family, and more importantly my team supported me throughout.

The surface was good today. We decided to build partnerships. Shaheen surpassed our expectations in the last over. Agha and I also built a good partnership in the middle and thought of taking the game deep. I thought it was a 300+ wicket.

We always wanted to play with different combinations in this series and our bench strength have responded well to the situation. We have to prepare for the upcoming events and make sure we have those 15-16 players ready to play."
Tom Latham (New Zealand Captain): "I think they played very well. Despite losing three wickets, they were able to set a solid foundation, and Babar led the way with an excellent innings. The rest of the players also stepped up and played their part, and they deserve all the credit for their impressive performance.

From a developmental standpoint, playing against a team like Pakistan has provided valuable exposure for our players. It's an opportunity for us to learn and improve by gaining a better understanding of the conditions we've faced. Going forward, we'll be looking to build more partnerships and ensure that someone stays at the crease for a substantial amount of time."
11:46 PM IST | Time for the presentation ceremony...
11:33 PM IST: A comprehensive win for Pakistan as they win this game by 102 runs to go 4-0 up in this 5-match series. With this win, they go upto Number 1 in the ODI rankings for the first time ever. Skipper Babar Azam set it up and then the bowlers were magnificent to give them an easy win.

Chasing 335 for the win, New Zealand got off to a steady start but never got going and challenged Pakistan. They lost Will Young 15 and Tom Blundell for 23. Daryl Mitchell scored 34. Skipper Tom Latham top scored with 60 while Mark Chapman scored a breezy 46 off 33 balls. Jimmy Neesham got to 11. But nothing much to ride home about as they were bowled out for 232 in 43.4 overs.

All the Pakistani bowlers bowled well. The young leg spinner Usama Mir was the star with figures of 4/43 in 10 overs. A couple of wickets apiece for Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim Junior. Shaheen Shah Afridi got the other wicket to fall. They kept things tight and got their rewards in the end.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan amassed 334/6 in 50 overs thanks to a majestic 18th ODI ton from their skipper Babar Azam. He became the fastest player to get to 5000 ODI runs. He scored 107 off 117 balls. Shan Masood at the top of the order scored 44 off 55 balls. Rizwan scored a quickfire 24 before being run out. Agha Salman scored and gave the tempo to the innings with 58 off 46 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed scored 28 off 22 balls. Cameos from Mohammad Haris 17* off 8 balls and Shaheen Shah Afridi 23* off 7 balls powered Pakistan to 334/6 when at one stage they looked like getting just above 300.

Matt Henry was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand picking up 3 wickets for 65 runs in 10 overs. A wicket for the debutant Ben Lister and a wicket to Ish Sodhi who bowled an economical spell and gave away only 53 runs. The rest of the bowlers were wicketless with Tickner going for plenty of runs at the death. So, plenty to learn for New Zealand bowlers going forward. One mustn't forget this is a young inexperienced side and they will take positives from this game and series.

So, Pakistan wins by 102 runs and climbs upto Number 1 in the rankings. They lead the series 4-0. Stick around for the presentation ceremony coming your way soon.
Pakistan moves to the number one position in the ICC Men's ODI rankings, but they will have to win the last ODI on Sunday to maintain the position. History has been made in Pakistani cricket as they've achieved the top spot in the rankings for the very first time.
43.4 M Wasim to B Tickner
W BOWLED 'EM! Pakistan is now the number-one-ranked ODI team in the world. Fuller and straight into the middle and leg stump line, Tickner clears his front leg and looks to slog that down the ground but the right-hander makes a complete mess out of it and watches his stumps being rattled. Wasim gets his third wicket and Tickner departs after 6. Pakistan also leads the series 4-0 now.
43.3 M Wasim to B Lister
1 Fuller and angling into the leg stump line, Lister awkwardly pushes that to point region for a single.
43.2 M Wasim to B Lister
0 Back of a length delivery and outside off, Lister chops that to Rizwan for a dot.
43.1 M Wasim to B Tickner
