That's it from our coverage of the 2nd T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand from Lahore. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer Raju Khariya. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Tom Latham (New Zealand Captain): "We were sort of there or thereabouts. There was the time around the 13th over where we just scored 30 odd runs in 5 overs. We lost wickets from there and we just couldn't finish the innings well and when Babar plays an innings like this you just have to take your head off to them.

We just wanna stick to your blueprint and have the perfect performance but haven't quite been there and a little bit off but that's the game we play and the bowlers are certainly trying hard. One of those things where we are probably not that far away. Looks a little bit different on the scorecard but we can put pieces altogether to sort the bowling department to give ourselves a good chance.

We were obviously a lot better today than the last night. We probably didn't get off to a start which we would have liked chasing a score of 190. They bowled pretty well in the middle. They were able to take wickets pretty much at all stages and we weren't able to build those partnerships. I guess when you're chasing a score like that you wanna have some significant contributions, significant partnerships. We weren't quite able to do that and someone like Mark Chapman who played beautifully today. If couple of guys would have stuck around him then it might have been different.

Its a game of fine margins and it can be fickle. Few things go right on our side and hopefully we can come back in a couple of days and take the learnings from the last couple of nights and take them to the next game."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain & Player of the match): "Definitely, very happy with the performance in this match. Early on, the fast bowlers received some assistance, but Rizwan and I saw it through, formed a partnership, and Iftikhar and I finished it off.

We used the final five overs to reach a very respectable total. It puts pressure on the batters when you lose wickets in groups, so we'll talk about this when you lose consecutively. Our quick bowlers, who are quite good, did a fantastic job.

Our pace bowlers, who are quite good, did a fantastic job. Rizwan is feeling better, and tomorrow is a rest day. We'll see how he is on Monday."
12:52 AM IST: Pakistan win the 2nd T20I against New Zealand by 38 runs and get ahead in the 5-match series by the margin of 2-0. New Zealand needs to win all the remaining T20Is in order to win the series from behind.

Quick recap to the game as the hosts Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first without making any changes. New Zealand at the other hand made a couple changes to their previous XI. A stunning century from Babar Azam getting it off the final ball of the innings put Pakistan to a strong total of 192/4.

Babar added 99 runs with Mohammad Rizwan (50) for the opening wicket and then an unbeaten 87 with Iftikhar Ahmed for the 5th wicket to take Pak to this total. There was a scare from Matt Henry who picked up 2 wickets in 2 balls to dismiss Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman but there wasn't much for the NZ bowlers to make a strong comeback.

Henry (2/29), Rachin Ravindra (1/22) and James Neesham (1/48) were the wicket takers.
In response, the Kiwi openers started cautiously adding 44 runs for the first wicket. Latham scored 19 with Chad Bowes getting out next for 26.

Will Young couldn't do much either getting out to Haris Rauf who is in red hot form. Daryl Mitchell (9) and James Neesham followed next getting out to Rauf with Mark Chapman batting as the lone rider completing his half century in the 16th over.

Haris got his 4th wicket in his final over with another slower ball and finished with 4/27. After breaking the 33 run partnership for the 3rd wicket between Young and Chapman. Pakistan got further ahead in the game with the visitors struggling to build partnerships and get closer to the total with the target eventually 52 runs away in the last 2 overs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi remained wicketless (0/21) with Imad Wasim bowling well in his 3 over spell (1/19). Shadab Khan also bowled 3 and finished with 1/27 with Zaman picking his last wicket in the final over of the match.
