Milestone
That's it from our coverage of the second ODI between South Africa and Netherlands. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee, Deepak Prakash and scorers Ashok Daima and Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Temba Bavuma (South Africa Captain): "It was a clinical performance. We obviously had it first up with the ball. What I said to the team was to keep the shape, the control and wait for the mistakes. In the end it was a clinical performance. Bowling them out for less than 200. I think our approach was the same, look to assess the conditions and set our game plans, set our options and then execution.

That's a big confidence booster for Shamsi. He hasn't obviously put in the performances that he would have liked. We back him as our match winner. I think when teams up come against Shammo they know they have to have their guard up. He just has to keep growing and growing, keep challenging himself and in terms of the lines that he's bowling and it will be more performances like that.

In the last couple of weeks, I'm just enjoying my cricket. When you have a certain level of backing and confidence that is around within the environment at the moment and I think a lot of the guys are feeding from it. I think that things are quite clear on how we want to go about things and it makes things a lot better when you know how all of us have the skills. Its about time the guys match their game. I haven't changed anything technically. Mentally, probably a lot more clearer.

Pink day is always a big event in our calendar. We also seem to play quite well when we play in pink. It will be another opportunity for us to go out and execute the skills. We will enjoy the win today, do our debrief and then prepare and get ready for Sunday's clash."
Sisanda Magala (Player of the match): "Yes just keeping it simple as possible. It is important to keep the basics right and that was the role. I do visualisation and what I want to achieve in the game. If it works, it works. If it doesn't so be it. The nerves are always there and so got to be up for it. There is a level of calmness in the team. I am excited about the IPL and nervous as well. For now, my focus is on Sunday. I have got a lot on my mind at this stage. Hope to do well for the side again and continue my good work."
Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain): "The start was promising. We had to bowl excellently, which didn't happen, as 189 was always going to be below the target. We have the opportunity to return and demonstrate our character on Sunday."
Time for the presentation ceremony.

10:26 PM IST: South Africa win the second ODI against the Netherlands by 8 wickets to go 2-0 up in the rescheduled ODI series. Skipper Temba Bavuma played a brilliant undefeated knock of 90 continuing his good run of form to guide the Proteas home before the bowlers did their job well to bundle out the Dutch at 189.

Bavuma tossed the coin right and decided to bowl first at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni. The Dutch openers Vikramjit Singh (45) and Max O'Dowd (18) provided a solid start adding 58 runs for the first wicket but wickets kept falling at regular intervals as the men in orange bundled for an eventual 189 in the 47th over.

Teja Nidamanuru top scored with 48 off 71 deliveries hitting 3 sixes but besides Vikramjit and him there was no resistance on show from the batters. Tabraiz Shamsi (3/25) was the pick of the bowlers and got good support from Sisanda Magala (3/37), Anrich Nortje (2/24), Marco Jansen (1/27) and Aiden Markram (1/30).

In response, the Proteas lost their opener Quinton de Kock early in the innings for just 9 when Aryan Dutta got Netherlands their first breakthrough in the 6th over of the innings. Bavuma opening the innings with de Kock then added 70 runs with Rassie van der Dussen (31) to get the home side in the leading position.

Fred Klaassen bowled a brilliant spell and dismissed van der Dussen in the 19th over propelling Aiden Markram to the crease who added an unbeaten 102 runs with Bavuma to seal the chase which was fittingly finished by Bavuma with a boundary on the final ball of the 30th over.

Aryan Dutt (1/30) and Fred Klaassen (1/51) were the only wicket takers for the visitors with Paul van Meekeren bowling beautifully throughout the innings but finished wicketless. Markram brought up his 6th half century and Bavuma got to his third in the format missing out on the fifth ton of his ODI career by just 10 runs.
