That's it from our coverage of the high octane clash between West Indies and India at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh and scorer Ghanendra. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from around the world.
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Captain): "It was a great day for us. Whatever we were expecting, we were able to do especially our bowling. Few balls were here and there except for that I think we did really well. We discussed about her (Deepti Sharma's) bowling in the team meeting. She wasn't happy the way she bowled in the last game. The bowling coach told how she can bowl today and today she got the result. Richa's been great for us and she's someone who can always pull the game for us and she's doing well. We are really happy that she is in that touch because she is a very dangerous batter and she expresses herself. We are happy with the results with the last two games. The next game is important and we want to continue with the same intent."
Shemaine Campbelle (Vice-Captain of West Indies): "We tried to post a competitive total but we were short of runs at the end. I think anything around the 150 mark would have been a fighting total. Karishma Ramharack bowled a good spell and we want her to continue that. I'm really sure about Hayley Kristen Matthews' injury."
Deepti Sharma (Player of the match): "I really feel good. I had certain plans for the Windies and applied those. 100 wickets in T20Is is a milestone and I am happy about that. But I'm focusing on the World Cup. The wicket here is slightly turning and that has helped me a lot. I just focused on bowling stumps to stumps and again that helped me a lot."

9:38 PM IST: Team India get their second win of the Group 2 stage and rack 4 points to go on top with England. Another good bowling effort led by Deepti Sharma and then a stupendous batting performance from Harmanpreet Kaur and new hero Richa Ghosh who put on a 72 run stand after a mini collapse pegged the women in blue on the backfoot. India finish the game by 6 wickets and stake a strong claim for the knockout stage.

Quick recap to the game as West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews won the toss and decided to bat first against a stronger India lineup getting back the services of Smriti Mandhana and Devika Vaidya. Pooja Vastrakar struck on the first ball of her spell which was the second over of the game getting rid of Matthews but the experienced Stafanie Taylor (42) and Shemaine Campbell (30) dug in adding 73 runs for the second wicket.

Deepti Sharma broke the stand in the 14th over also trapping Taylor in the same over. Wickets fell in a bunch for the West Indies as they lost their 4th in the next over Chinelle Henry getting run out at the striker's end. Renuka Singh ended her drought of wickets rattling Shabika Gajnabi's leg stump on the final ball of the penultimate over.

Gajnabi however played a cameo of 15 in 13 balls hitting 2 fours in the process. Chedean Nation was unbeaten on 21 off 18 balls. India had a good outing in the field barring a dropped catch by Deepti Sharma who became the first Indian to bag 100 wickets in T20 internationals.

Deepti finished as the pick of the bowlers with tidy figures of 3/15. Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh were the other two wicket takers. Radha Yadav, Devika Vaidya and Rajeshwari Gayakwad were a touch expensive.

The chase started on a bright note for the Indians as Shafali Verma scored 14 runs off the first over, Smriti Mandhana's return however wasn't too good as she was out stumped to Karishma Ramharack continuing her poor run of form.

Jemimah Rodrigues also failed slapping one straight back to Hayley Matthews and Shafali Verma soon departed at 28 off 23 deliveries. With India needing another 76 runs to win after a mini collapse, Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh added 72 runs for the 4th wicket before the skipper was well caught in the deep when the total was just one hit away.

Richa Ghosh made the best of the opportunity batting at number 5 and equaled her best score in the format hitting an unbeaten 44 off 32 deliveries and finished the game with a boundary also being India's top scorer in the match and in the tournament so far.

There were some injury concerns for the West Indies team as two of their senior players Stafanie Taylor and skipper Matthews walked off the field in the second innings with injuries. Taylor suffered the worse as she was stretchered off the field.

Karishma Ramharack was terrific with her tight lines and lengths and claimed two big wickets but didn't get the support from the other end to contain the Indian batters as the Windies bowlers failed to take wickets in the middle overs where Kaur and Ghosh smacked them for boundaries and also were brilliant with the running between the wickets.

Skipper Matthews played her part with the ball claiming a wicket for just 12 runs and Chinelle Henry also bowling a wicket maiden but the battle was already lost by then. India are still behind England as the table toppers have a slightly better net run rate.
18.1 S Connell to R Ghosh
4 FOURR! There it is. Richa Ghosh, the finisher, again does what she's best at. This is Windies' eighth consecutive defeat against India and the women in blue grab two crucial points to their tally.  Back of a length delivery on the top of the middle, Ghosh lifts her front leg and smacks that towards deep mid-wicket as the ball runs away towards the ropes after a couple of bounces. The deep fielder has no chance there and the celebrations have begun at the Newlands.

Little too late in the game but here is a good tidy wicket maiden from Chinelle Henry. 4 more runs needed in the last 2 overs.
17.6 C Henry to D Vaidya
0 Fuller and outside off, Vaidya leans forward and pushes that to extra covers for a dot to end the over. India requires just 4 now.

17.5 C Henry to H Kaur
W CAUGHT! Almost a collision there as two fielders were converging. Pitched up delivery in the middle and off, Kaur clears her front leg and looks to slice that away towards off-side but gets no timing on that one. Shemaine Campbelle at deep point runs forward and completes the catch. The Indian skipper departs for 33.
17.4 C Henry to H Kaur
0 Beaten again! Drags her length back again outside off, Kaur misses the dab to the keeper, no run.
17.3 C Henry to H Kaur
0 Beaten! Back of a length and again extracting the extra bounce off the surface outside off, Kaur goes for a cut but the ball breezes past the outside edge, no run.
17.2 C Henry to H Kaur
0 Good length and outside off, Kaur guides that to point for a dot.
Skipper Hayley Matthews is walking off the field.
17.1 C Henry to H Kaur
0 Back of a length and outside off, Kaur takes a little shuffle and dabs that in front of point for a dot.
Hayley Matthews is now down in the field with some injury concerns. We have already seen Stafanie Taylor being stretchered out. Matthews gets up on his feet but is limping.
