That's a wrap on our coverage of this game. Do join us for more cricketing actions across the globe across formats tomorrow. Until next time, I am Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Jos Buttler (England Captain): "Yeah, delighted. I think from the position we found ourselves in, to be able to post a score like we did is is credit to the way we want to play. Liam Livingstone came out with that intent and Sam Curran especially was a fantastic partnership.

To be honest, I'd probably say the opposite. I'd want us to go harder, I'd want us to push back. Obviously, the conditions were good for seam bowling, but we need to find ways to put pressure back on the opposition. So I think it's been a bit of a hallmark of the team is to try and fall on the positive side. I think we need to make sure we do that. I think we're trying to get back to the ODI format.

I think everyone's pretty clear on the options they have in the team and like I say today, we're blessed with that. Good batting depth, which was vital today to
Livingstone and Curran coming at seven and eight. They are well within their rights to be batting a lot higher up, so that's a huge positive for us and we're delighted to win the game and to level the series."
Tom Latham (New Zealand Captain): "Yes, I think they had a couple of key partnerships at the deep, It showed that we were not able to take the last wickets. Credit to them for the win. I think there are areas to improve. Boult was great but the others needed to step up. We can't look too far ahead and hopefully, we can come back in the last two games. We needed partnerships to take it deep and could not take it home. I thought we were outplayed and we deserved to lose. We are on the right track and hope to come back in the remaining games."
Liam Livingstone (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I wouldn't quite say it was a rescue mission. I think it's something that we pride ourselves on. We've got a lot of depth in our batting and it's we build our teams because of situations like today. So, yeah, probably when I went in, just try and get used to the conditions and bat with Mo and I thought Sammy played really well when he came in and managed to build a partnership there. So it's something we pride ourselves on. We've got a lot of depth and thankfully today we needed it.

Yeah, it's probably been a frustrating year for me. It's quite a hard role when you have a bit of time off and then going to come in down the order and try and smack it from ball one most of the times you're back. So, yeah, I guess my adaptability is something that I pride myself on, and I've probably had a lean couple of months, but, yeah, I was kind of looking forward to this series to hopefully get a bit of time in the middle. For a couple of months, I've not been at my best. I've probably overfought things at times, but, yeah, thankfully today, my hard work over the last two months has probably paid off."
11:41 PM IST, 7:11 PM Local Time: What we witnessed today was a great comeback and resilience from England as they come out of a difficult situation to win this game comprehensively by 79 runs and level the series 1-1. In the end, the hosts were better than the visitors in all facets of the game and the series is nicely set up at 1-1.

Chasing 227 in 34 overs in a rain reduced game, New Zealand never got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Finn Allen went early while Devon Conway scored a slow 14 off 24 balls. Will Young scored 33 off 39 balls. Daryl Mitchell was the star again as he top scored with 57 off 52 balls. Skipper Tom Latham scored 19 off 22 balls. The rest of the batters fell away as New Zealand were bowled out for 147 in 26.5 overs. 6 extras were given by the fielding side.

All the England bowlers bowled well one thought. David Willey and Reece Topley picked up 3 wickets apiece. A couple of wickets for Moeen Ali and a wicket to Gus Atkinson as well. There was a run out as well in the innings.

Earlier in the game, England's top order was blown away by Trent Boult as the top order went back to the hut in no time. England were 28/4 and 55/5 at one stage, but recovered to get to a competitive total. Jos Buttler the skipper scored 30 off 25 balls. Moeen Ali scored 33 off 32 balls. But it was the Liam Livingstone show as his unbeaten 95* off 78 balls alongside Sam Curran's 42 off 35 balls that powered the score forward. David Willey scored 7* off 2 balls in the end as England recovered to get to 226/7 in 34 overs. 10 extras were given by the fielding side.

Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand today with figures of 3/37 in 7 overs. A couple of wickets for Tim Southee while Matt Henry and Mitchell Santner picked up a wicket each under their belt. The bowling of New Zealand was good and the batting let them down in the end.

So, a win for England over New Zealand by 79 runs to level the series at 1-1 with 2 matches to play. Stick around for the presentations.
