Milestone
That's it from our coverage of the first Test match between Pakistan and England from Rawalpindi. A great advertisement for the longest and purest format of the game as it went down the wire with England coming out victors. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee, Deepak Prakash and scorer Dushyant Kumar. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe.
Ben Stokes (England Captain): "Few things that you can plan for like the approach you want to go in the Test cricket. But few things you can't control with the group getting sick before the Test match but the credit goes to the boys the way they made sure the match started at time and played under the weather.

Kudos to Will Jacks who got to know 3 minutes before the team sheet was being laid that he is going to play. We played 8-9 Tests till now with me and Brendon at the helm. We always want to go and take the positive route with the bat and ball.

Its a very exciting team and a great surface to bat on so a great opportunity for our talent to express themselves. Keaton Jennings coming out and fielding in place of Liam Livingstone who unfortunately has an injury, did a great job fielding under the lid.

We wanted to come here to Pakistan and play some exciting cricket and give ourselves a best opportunity to win the Tests. I and the dressing room are not interested in playing for draws. On this kind of wicket some brave fielding changes were important to entice the batters into false strokes.

We predominantly wanted to go with our seam bowlers and that worked for us. Ollie Robinson and James Anderson were absolutely brilliant today. At the lunch break we were exactly where we wanted to be. We found ourselves in perfect position. It's a great place to be personally. Its incredible and I'm at loss of words about the dressing room."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Yes, we started badly with the ball. We were not up to the mark with the ball. We tried to cover the score. We had a golden chance to win the test chasing, but we lost wickets in clusters. I think our bowling line-up is young. But Haris was injured and that hampered us a bit. They will learn. To be honest, it was difficult as England came all guns blazing today. We expected their declaration after Tea and we planned accordingly. We had our moments, but lost wickets at crucial junctures and never had partnerships.  There are positives to take to Multan. Our batting was good and the bowlers showed their potential. We will dwell on that and see where we go and how we can improve."
Ollie Robinson(Player of the match): "Although the pitch was not good, we succeeded. Just about every man makes me proud. We kept working while knowing it would be difficult. The opportunity to score so rapidly was provided by the batters. The best Test match I've played in was definitely against Pakistan on these challenging surfaces."
The Player of the Match goes to Ollie Robinson.
Best Bowler of the Test match goes to Ollie Robinson.
Outstanding Performance of the match goes to James Anderson.
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
96.3 J Leach to N Shah
W BIG APPEAL AND UP GOES THE FINGER! Naseem Shah will review straightaway. A good length delivery angled in pitching on the middle stump. Naseem pushes forward and misses, gets hit on the front pad. Its a fair delivery. Ben Duckett took the catch as the ball lobs off the pads, it'll be out caught if there's bat involved, which is not the case! 3 reds on ball tracking and it's all over for Pakistan! England take this Test by 74 runs!!
96.2 J Leach to N Shah
0 Short of length and outside the off stump. Naseem gets on the front foot and leaves.
96.1 J Leach to N Shah
0 Round the wicket. 84.5kph. Length delivery on the off stump. Naseem defends forward off the inside edge.
