That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Don't go anywhere as the Sydney Derby isn't far away. For now, this is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Hitesh Peddurwar and scorer Dushyant Madhukar. Tata. Bye Bye.
Tahlia McGrath (Player of the Match): "Yeah it's really a good feeling to get some runs under the belt. Cricket is a cruel game when it's low it's low. We were good with the bowl today we took a few good catches. Barsby bowled pretty well and stepped up at the right time, the track was good for batting and I felt that the score was easily chasable, it's good that we chased down the total under the 15 overs and increased out NRR"
Tahlia McGrath is the Player of the Match for her match-winning knock of 93* off just 51 balls.
Akshay | 12:58 PM IST: A solid all-round performance from Adelaide Strikers Women sees them beat Hobart Hurricanes Women by eight wickets. With this win, they have grabbed two crucial points and moved up the points table. It was a batting masterclass from their skipper Tahlia McGrath as she made a mockery of this chase.

Chasing 155, the Strikers Women didn’t have the best of starts as they lost Laura Wolvaardt in the very first over when Hayley Jensen cleaned her up on a golden duck. McGrath joined Katie Mack and both led the recovery work. McGrath looked positive and took on the Hurricanes’ bowling attack from the word go. She played some sensational strokes and was well-supported by Mack from the other end as they put 50 between them. The 77-run stand was broken by Nicola Carey when she dismissed Mack on 29.

There was no stopping McGrath from the other end as she didn’t allow the Hurricanes’ bowlers to settle in. She raced to her fifty in no time. The Hurricanes had no answers to the onslaught from McGrath as she remained unbeaten on 94 off just 51 balls to take her side across the line in the 15th over. She hit 12 fours and 4 maximums as it helped them complete a comprehensive win over the Hurricanes Women.

Earlier in the day, Tahlia McGrath, the Adelaide Strikers skipper won the toss and elected to field first. They had a very good start with the ball as they dismissed both the Hurricanes' openers early in the innings. Mignon du Preez walked out to bat at three and played a fantastic knock. She held the innings nicely from one end but lacked support from the other end. The Strikers kept picking wickets at regular intervals.

Ruth Johnston joined du Preez and both started building a partnership for the sixth wicket. Both put 45 between them before Johnston departed on 25. du Preez brought up a well-compiled fifty. She played some wonderful strokes before getting dismissed on 75 in the penultimate over. The Hurricanes were knocked over on 154 in 19.4 overs. Each of the Strikers’ bowlers picked up at least a wicket as Jemma Barsby finished with figures of 3/27. Amanda-Jade Wellington also chipped in with a couple of scalps. On the back of a sensational knock from McGrath, the Strikers Women chased down the total comfortably.
