1:32 PM IST| We have bad news for you folks...The match has been abandoned due to the rain. We were expecting a 5-overs-a-side game at least but rain plays a spoilsport again.
1:08 PM IST| Well, our unwanted guest is back. The rain has arrived and play will be further delayed.
Hitesh: Cricket Exchange Fantasy XI looks perfect though I would have made Marizanne Kapp as my vice-captain.

12:44 IST|Update: We will have a toss in next 5 minutes. The match will start at 1:05 PM IST.
Hitesh: Good morning to everyone tuning in... Thank you Ayan for your warm welcome and for giving me the expert's tagπŸ˜‚. It's always a pleasure working with you mate, I am doing well and hope you are doing the same.

If we have a game today, I guess it would be a reduced game, I don't think it will be a full 20-overs-a-side game. Coming to your question, both teams have got off to a good start in this tournament.  Perth Scorchers lost their previous match on the other hand Hobart Hurricanes are coming from a victory. Both the teams are looking solid on the paper, so we can expect a nail bitter today, only if rain doesn't play a spoilsport.
Ayan: Good morning to all our viewers. Time to welcome our expert Hitesh into the commentary box. Great to have you back in the commentary box after a while and hope you are doing well. It is a coincidence that you have brought the rain along with you today. I want to get your thoughts on how these two teams shape up against each other today.
11:18 AM IST: The toss has been delayed due to rain.
The toss is set to be delayed for sure and the match as well at this stage. Stay tuned for the latest updates from the venue as and when we get them.
Rain has played havoc today at Perth as it has affected the proceedings at the WACA. The first game of the day between Sydney Thunder Women and Melbourne Stars Women has been abandoned after the rain came in and it has gotten heavier every minute. Only 13.4 overs were possible in that match today. Both teams have got a point each. One hopes that the rain stops and we get some play today although the forecast is for rain to persist in Perth through the rest of the day.
After winning the first three games, the Scorchers went down to Thunder yesterday. They have three wins in four games and are placed second in the points table behind the Sixers on Net Run Rate. Hobart Hurricanes have played three games and won two of them. Their latest win was against the Thunder by 49 runs. They are placed in the fourth position in the points table. The Ellyse Villani-led side will be hoping to win at the WACA just like Thunder did yesterday.
Key Players to watch out for today:
Beth Mooney
Lizelle Lee
Heather Graham
Alana King
Sophie Devine
Pitch Report: The pitch at the WACA is good for the pacers initially with the batters finding life easier as the game progresses. The spinners will have a role to play as they can hold one end up and get crucial breakthroughs. A score of around 140-150 will be competitive on this deck and with the weather around, the captain winning the toss may well opt to chase.
