That brings us to the end of the coverage of this much-anticipated encounter between Australia and New Zealand. It was team Australia who take the honors at the end of the match and they lead the series by 2-0. Hope you have enjoyed all the action here at our network. Do join us for all the upcoming matches from all around the globe. For now, this is me Hitesh Peddurwar signing it off along with my esteemed co-commentators Arijit Kundu and Tugral Azmi with our scorer Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Until then stay safe and tune to all other actions on our network.
Mitchell Starc(Player of the match): "We know we have been in this situation before, so we just tried to get as many runs as we could and it worked, I had a chat with Josh to just take it over till 190 runs and we got succeded. We bowled very well today for someone like Abbott to come and bowl four maidens on a trott and Zampa getting a five-fer is really a good sign for us."
Kane Williamson (New Zealand captain, losing skipper): "Obviously, we weren't that good with the bat. We tried to weather the ball and take the game deep. Australia were outstanding with the ball and didn't give us any room. Getting 180+ needed a lot of hard work and they were superb. Everyone's mind is different and make their own decisions. It wasn't the modern day ODI that you got to saw.  There will be a number of conversations. Adjusting to new conditions, these are new to us. Australia was outstanding today, getting to the total and then with the ball, they simply played out us."
Aaron Finch (Australia Captain, winning skipper): "It was difficult. The tailenders guided us through the most challenging first 40 overs. Smith performed admirably, and Starcy followed suit. We successfully reached a total that we knew we could successfully defend. Mitchell set the tone in the opening over, then Abbott did something I had never seen before. The wicket began to slow up and sag somewhat. We were confident in our ability to maintain discipline as the strain increased. We were aware that the wicket would degrade and grow slower throughout the powerplay, so we had to be proactive. We were five down early, but we were still able to reach a respectable total."
This was sheer dominance by the Australian bowlers as they bundled out the Kiwis for 82 runs and won this game by 113 runs. They take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match ODI series.

While chasing a target of 196 runs, Kiwis got off to a disastrous start. The second innings started off with loads of drama, in the first over Labuschagne dropped a catch of Guptill, but it didn't hurt the Aussies much as Starc scalped his wicket on the 5th ball of the innings, and on the last ball there was a Run-Out opportunity but Carey missed it and Kane Williamson survived.

It was just the bowlers who were dominating at the start of the innings. Sean Abbott was exceptional with his line and lengths as he scalped a couple of wickets in the powerplay. New Zealand were 3 down for 14 in runs in 8.2 overs. The duo of Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell showed some resilience and glued a partnership of 19 runs off 46 balls.

Kane Williamson didn't show any intent and he was just defending the balls. He was trapped in front of the stumps, after scoring 17 runs off 58 balls. Wickets were tumbling down for Kiwis at regular intervals, they never looked at any stage in the second innings that they can chase down the target. Santner was the last man to depart, he departed after scoring 16 runs off 29 balls.

From a bowling point of view, the Aussies started off brilliantly with the new ball, Starc and Josh Hazelwood started off with the new ball and bowled exceptionally well and didn't leak easy runs. They built up the pressure with the dot balls and they were rewarded with wickets in regular intervals. Sean Abbott was exceptional as he bowled 4 maidens on a trott and scalped 2 wickets.

Adam Zampa bowled beautifully and he was the pick bowler from the Australian side. The leggie was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 5 wickets and gave away just 35 runs in his 9-over spell. Mitchell Starc scalped a couple of wickets, and Stoinis grabbed one wicket.

Earlier in the day, New Zealand won the toss and choose to bowl first. Aaron Finch and David Warner opened the innings for Australia. The poor form of the Australian skipper continued as he was trapped by Matt Henry while trying to uppishly push the ball over the inner circle.

It was just Trent Boult and Matt Henry's show at the start of the innings. This duo ripped off the Australian batting order; Aussies were 4 down for 26 runs after 8.3 overs. Steven Smith and Alex Carey showed a bit of resilience but they were able to stitch a partnership of just 28 runs for the 5th wicket. Glenn Maxwell joined Steven Smith and this duo glued a partnership of 49 runs.

Tailenders stitched a partnership of 31 runs and 47 runs for the 9th and 10th wicket respectively. The Australian batting order collapsed miserably but thanks to the tail-enders as they took the Aussies to a respectful total of 195 runs. Steven Smith was the highest scorer for Kangaroos as he scored 61runs off 94 deliveries.

From the bowling point of view, Trent Boult was the leading wicket-taker for the Black Caps, finishing with four scalps. Matt Henry was the second best with a three-fer. A solitary wicket was bagged by Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner each.

W WICKETTT!! Gone!!! Finally, the wicket is gone and this time it's again Adam Zampa who gets the wicket and clears the cutter totally. A flighted delivery from the bowler and the batter sits there and looks to go for the reverse sweep. He misses on the inside half and gets a bellow at the pads. The Onfield decision is out and the batter goes upstairs for the review.  It seems that no bat is involved. The impact is umpire's call on this occasion and the reaming are 'reds'. The original decision remains and New Zealand suffers another defeat. It was a googly from Zampa and he finishes with figures of 9-0-35-5. The Chappel-Hadlee trophy belongs to Australia as they have clinched an unassailable 2-0 lead.
32.5 A Zampa to T Boult
0 A dot ball this time as this one's a fulltoss from the bowler and the batter gets a leading edge towards the fine of covers region.
32.4 A Zampa to T Boult
2 Fuller length delivery on the off-stump line. Boult drives it through the extra covers region for a couple of runs.
32.3 A Zampa to T Boult
0 Quicker delivery and nips back into the batter. Boult tries to flick but fails to connect it.
32.2 A Zampa to T Boult
0 Goes for the reverse sweep and wears it on the pads this time. The batter goes for the reverse sweep and ends up getting hit on the pads.
32.1 A Zampa to T Boult
4 FOURRRR!!!  A slower leggie from the bowler and Boult comes down the track and brooms it past the mid on region for a boundary this time. The fielder there chases but all in vain as the ball unfurls.
