Well that's all for today folks! This is Anirudh, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Tugral, and our scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi! See you on the next one!
Player of the Match: Oliver Davies
AND WITH THAT WICKET, THE SYDNEY THUNDER HAVE COMPLETED A COMPREHENSIVE VICTORY OVER THE HOBART HURRICANES! The Men in Green defeat their counterparts by 62 runs to take home the points!

Sydney Thunder won the bat flip and elected to bat first, the decision paid off right at the beginning as Matthew Gilkes scored a flying 33 runs off 16 balls to take his team to a total of 46/1 after the powerplay. After a short partnership between Hales and Rossouw, the real fireworks began as Oliver Davies arrived at the crease. The duo stitched together a partnership of 105 runs as both batters reached their half-centuries in quick fire style!

Alex Hales top scored with the bat, smashing 77 runs off 45 balls. While, Oliver Davies provided support with 65 runs off 32 balls, helping his team to a mammoth total of 228/6 after their 20 overs! Nathan Ellis was the pick of the bowlers with 4/37 from his 4 overs.

Come the chase, the Hobart Hurricanes lost D'Arcy Short early in the innings but that meant the arrival of Matthew Wade. The Hurricanes' skipper got off to a flier and never looked back, reaching his half-century in just 19 balls! His power hitting put pressure on the Sydney Thunder bowling attack as the Hurricanes safely reached a total of 101/2 from their first 10 overs.

With Wade and Tim David at the crease, the Hurricanes set their sights on the next 128 runs. However, they collapsed, and it all started with the downfall of their skipper on the second ball of the 11th over, following that they never recovered as they lost the next 7 wickets for just 61 runs. The scoreboard pressure weighed heavily and eventually they caved in. Brendan Doggett was the pick of the bowlers with the figures of 4/35 from his 4 overs.

In the end, the Sydney Thunder outclassed their opponents in all departments to take home to points and celebration!

W KNOCKED HIM OVER! Fuller delivery fired it on the middle stump line. Meredith had no chance of putting a bat to that. Well under his bat and it rattles onto the middle stumps. The last man of Hurricanes departs here on a two-ball duck. Sydney Thunder registered their third consecutive victory and won the game by a huge margin of 62 runs to take home crucial points. Hobart Hurricanes have bundled out on just 166.

W WICKETT!! In the air and caught! Another one bites the dust. Fuller delivery, outside off. Paris looked to go for the kitchen sink on the widish delivery and gets an outside edge this time. The ball maroons up right in the safe hands of Green at long-off.
15.4 B Doggett to P Dooley
1 On a length, close the off. Dooley tucks it square on the leg side and sneaks a run.
