Milestone
Time to wrap things off in the commentary box. An excellent start for the Australian summer. Now they head to the Gabba for the first Test match against South Africa. Steven Smith (Australia Captain): "It was a nice toss to win. I though the boys batted really well on the opening day, especially Uzzy (Khawaja) and Marnus. The bowlers backed our batters and did the job for us.

Obviously, we had a few injury concerns, which indeed had a hand in this big defeat. Yeah, we need to continue our hard work. As I said, we fought hard in the first Test. In the first game, we demonstrated that we can spend time and bat for longer periods of time against a world-class attack. It's unfortunate that we lost the experience due to injuries, but Australia can teach us a lot about how to do things. He (Tagenraine Chanderpaul) has been doing it for a couple of years now and has a bright future with the West Indies. The way he left the ball and It's been incredible, and the fans want to see the West Indies succeed. They add to the atmosphere. Thank you."
Marnus Labuschange (Player of the Series): "Yeah, it's nice to be going through a patch where you are scoring runs. It's been a good series for me and the team. It takes a bit longer to get used to it (Pink Ball). It swings consistently and you need to make certain adjustments. Good to be in the form at the moment. Hopefully, it'll continue in the South Africa series.

Travis Head (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I will take it. I missed out on a hundred last week, but glad to make it here. Yeah, looked forward to that in 10-15 years time. Yeah, it is a beautiful feeling. Yeah, he (Marnus) did his things and allowed me to do my things. He (Marnus) bats for long periods of time, which allows me to play freely. I am very fortunate to be playing here, and credit goes to the guys above. Everyone on the coaching and support staff has been nice and polite."

Mitchell Starc: "Yeah, nice start to the summer. It gives us an extra day off. Obviously good game time. All of us contributed to this victory. There was some individual brilliance as well. Yeah, Patty is recovering well and hopefully make it to the next game. Josh, ahh.. need to have a closer look. The batters gave a stick around for Boland not picking a wicket in the first innings. But he picked three wickets in an over yesterday and showed why he is in the team for. It was looking like MCG all over again. In the absence of Patty and Josh, these bowlers have used the opportunity to full effect, and it is good that Australia have great bench strength. Welcomed him (Travis Head) to the 99 club last week, and he has been amazing. But the batters set up both games perfectly. A tentative poke away from the body and the outside-edge is taken smartly by Carey who stretches to his right and takes a brilliant diving catch.
