Milestone
Time to wrap things off in the commentary box. An excellent start for the Australian summer. Now they head to the Gabba for the first Test match against South Africa. West Indies will have a few months off before landing on the shores of South Africa. Stay tuned with us for the matches around the world. We will meet in the next match. Until then, it is me AkshayaKrishna Polya, saying goodbye on behalf of my co-commentator Anurag Dasgupta (DG), alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer
Records Gallery:

-Australia's biggest-ever Test win against West Indies

-West Indies' biggest defeats ever in Tests in terms of runs

-Second lowest total for West Indies vs Australia in Test cricket

-The lowest total for West Indies in Australia

-Alex Carey equals the record for most catches for an Australian wicketkeeper in an innings with six catches. Brad Haddin, Ian Healy, Rodney Marsh, and Arthur Grout are the other elite keepers on the list.
Steven Smith collects the trophy on behalf of his teammates, and he calls all of the players to have a pose to the photographers.
Steven Smith (Australia Captain): "It was a nice toss to win. I though the boys batted really well on the opening day, especially Uzzy (Khawaja) and Marnus. The bowlers backed our batters and did the job for us.

Can't say too much to Marnus. He has been batting incredibly well. Practices hard at the nets and does the job on the field and no reason why he can't continue that form in the coming games. Last night, Boland was really good and today Neser has been excellent and Starc has been bowling well for years. A big series coming up against South Africa. They are a really solid unit, especially the fast bowling department. We have to be at our best to beat them."
Kraigg Brathwaite (West Indies Captain): "Ahh.. disappointing second game for sure. In the first game surely we gave some fight. Obviously, we had a few injury concerns, which indeed had a hand in this big defeat. Yeah, we need to continue our hard work. As I said, we fought hard in the first Test. In the first game, we demonstrated that we can spend time and bat for longer periods of time against a world-class attack. It's unfortunate that we lost the experience due to injuries, but Australia can teach us a lot about how to do things. He (Tagenraine Chanderpaul) has been doing it for a couple of years now and has a bright future with the West Indies. The way he left the ball and It's been incredible, and the fans want to see the West Indies succeed. They add to the atmosphere. Thank you."
Marnus Labuschange (Player of the Series): "Yeah, it's nice to be going through a patch where you are scoring runs. It's been a good series for me and the team. It takes a bit longer to get used to it (Pink Ball). It swings consistently and you need to make certain adjustments. Good to be in the form at the moment. Hopefully, it'll continue in the South Africa series.

It would be a challenge against South Africa. First Test at Gabba (home ground), hopefully, we'll have our bowlers back for that game."
Travis Head (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I will take it. I missed out on a hundred last week, but glad to make it here. Yeah, looked forward to that in 10-15 years time. Yeah, it is a beautiful feeling. Yeah, he (Marnus) did his things and allowed me to do my things. He (Marnus) bats for long periods of time, which allows me to play freely. I am very fortunate to be playing here, and credit goes to the guys above. Everyone on the coaching and support staff has been nice and polite."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony
Mitchell Starc: "Yeah, nice start to the summer. It gives us an extra day off. Obviously good game time. All of us contributed to this victory. There was some individual brilliance as well. Yeah, Patty is recovering well and hopefully make it to the next game. Josh, ahh.. need to have a closer look. The batters gave a stick around for Boland not picking a wicket in the first innings. But he picked three wickets in an over yesterday and showed why he is in the team for. It was looking like MCG all over again. In the absence of Patty and Josh, these bowlers have used the opportunity to full effect, and it is good that Australia have great bench strength. Welcomed him (Travis Head) to the 99 club last week, and he has been amazing. But the batters set up both games perfectly. Smithy is doing what he does good, while Marnus, ahh, I mean, he loves batting, and he does what he loves."
11 AM IST: This was too easy for the Aussies! They have wrapped up the series 2-0! A convincing 419-run victory has strengthened Australia's place in the WTC points table. Australia were clinical, Australia were ruthless and they showed their dominance at home once again.

Their love affair with Adelaide and Pink ball continued with a thumping victory. The foundation was laid by the batters in the first innings, led by Marnus run-machine Labuschagne. He along with Travis Head bludgeoned the West Indian attack to all parts of the ground as Australia scored a mammoth 511. West Indies had a sorry state of affairs in the series. Apart from Chanderpaul and to some extent Brathwaite, no one really contributed with the bat.

Australian bowlers were almost perfect in both innings. If Lyon and Starc were the chief destroyers in the first innings, with 3 and 2 wickets each, then the newbies, Scott Boland and Michel Neser ripped through the Windies' lineup as they were bundled out for a paltry 77 in the second innings.
40.5 M Neser to M Mindley
W That's it! The game is done and dusted! Carey with his third blinder of the morning. The Aussies have wrapped this up in style. Back of a length, angling away from the righty. A tentative poke away from the body and the outside-edge is taken smartly by Carey who stretches to his right and takes a brilliant diving catch.
40.4 M Neser to A Phillip
1 Fuller-length delivery and outside the off. Phillip drives at it, and as the bat turns in his hands it goes towards wide mid-off region for a single.
40.3 M Neser to A Phillip
0 Phillip was in two minds here, whether to play or not. Good length, nips away just a touch. Phillip tries to leave at the last moment but the ball takes the toe-end and falls short of the gully fielder.
40.2 M Neser to A Phillip
0 Probing line, closer to the off stump. Phillip covers the line and blocks it off the back-foot.
40.1 M Neser to A Phillip
0 Back of a length on the stumps. Phillip stays back and defends the ball on the leg side.
