Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "I think we were 20 runs short today, and credits to the bowlers because of which we were in the game. Yes, we want to have characters like that.
Also, Richa batted well today. Because of her's knock, we got to the total for which we could fight. In any format of cricket, you need to have a decent number of total. We need big partnerships, and any big partnership will always give us a good total to defend."

Akshaya: 2:01 AM IST | A dominant performance by England Women sealed the series as they beat India Women by a margin of seven wickets with ten balls remaining! Three T20Is and two teams which chased won the games effortlessly. England Women won the series 2-1!
Earlier, England Women skipper Amy Jones won the third straight toss and opted to bowl first. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma came out to bat for India Women. But, unlike the previous match, India got off to a horrible start. Women in Blue lost six wickets for just 52 runs, and to add insult to the injury, English bowlers ran through the over rate.
It was Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh who gave some respect to the scoreboard as they added 23 runs for the seventh wicket. Deepti (24 off 25) had an awful brain fade moment in the field as she was out stumped in the bowling of Sophie Ecclestone in the 17th over.
Richa (33 off 22) and Pooja Vastrakar played a few good shots towards the end as they took the score beyond the hundred-run mark. The duo added a partnership of 28-runs for the eighth wicket before Ghosh was trapped dead plumb by the willy left-arm spinner in the 19th over.
Pooja (19* off 11) and Radha Yadav (5* off 2) played a couple of excellent shots in the last over to push India Women to a total of 122/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
For the hosts, it was the World Number One T20I bowler, Sophie Ecclestone, with the figures of 4-0-25-3, who was the best bowler. Sarah Glenn scalped a couple while Bryony Smith, Freya Davies, and Issy Wong took a wicket each.
Chasing a well below par total, England Women openers Sophia Dunkley and Danielle Wyatt gave the team a great start as they added 70 runs for the first wicket. Both played some good shots, but they were also aided by some poor bit of fielding by the visitors. It looked like an exact replay of the first T20I!
Sneh Rana, in the 10th over, accounted for the dismissal of Danni Wyatt as the latter holed out at long on for a score of 22 from 23 deliveries. Dunkley, who was cruising to her half-century, fell one run short of the milestone as Pooja Vastrakar's back-of-a-length delivery castled her stumps. But she was in good touch before walking back frustratingly at her personal score of 49 from 44 deliveries.
Amy Jones' (3 off 5) bad patch continued as she failed to play till the end, losing her stumps to Radha Yadav in the 13th over. It seemed like there was a chance for India's comeback, but Alice Capsey (38* off 24) and Bryony Smith (13* off 14) didn't allow any doors for it to happen.
The duo added 47 runs for the unbeaten fourth wicket and sealed the deal for England Women in the 19th over bowled by Deepti Sharma. Deepti bowled two loose deliveries, which Capsey played away behind the square on the leg side for boundaries to finish the series in favour of the hosts!

4 FOURRRRRRR!!! And there you go Capsey brooms it around and gets the winning runs for England Women!! England has clinched the series and some stealthy performances from the young bloods have made it possible against a sloppy Indian side. Fuller one from the bowler, with a flatter trajectory, near the off and Capsey prods forward and drops her shoulders around the cork with the sweeping effect to fetch the winning runs in the form of a handy boundary. The fielders were brought inside the circle for this ball and therefore the vacant region in the deep was created.
18.1 D Sharma to A Capsey
4 FOURRRRRR!!!!! A full toss towards the leg stump line and Capsey just pulls this one down the deep backward square leg region for a boundary this time. Nothing delivery from the bowler on this occasion and it had to be punished hard. One simply can't expect such poor delivery from an experienced one at this situation!!
