Six to finish off and Derbyshire wins the match by 6 wickets! Northamptonshire bowlers didn't bowl badly but were completely outplayed by the opposition masterclass!
Derbyshire lost Reece in the first over but after that, Masood and Kerr played some aggressive cricket in the powerplay before Kerr(29 off 17) gifted his wicket away to Heldreich. Captain Masood(57 off 43) played a fantastic inning and provided an easy way through to win the game. Wayne Madsen and Masood stitched a 95 runs partnership and took the game away from Northamptonshire. Madsen(73 off 37) stayed till the end, blasted the bowlers all over the park, and played some outstanding shots!
Freddie Heldreich went for 33 in his 4 overs but also took 2 important wickets.
Northamptonshire scored 186/7. Both the openers were dismissed in single-digit scores. Captain Cobb played an entertaining cameo of 17 off 6. The first innings was all about Saif Zaib(93 off 58 balls) who was brilliant throughout as he played some outstanding shots and took his team single-handedly to a great total! Neesham stitched a 64 runs partnership with Zaib and provided some stability to the innings before gifting his wicket away on 28.
Hayden Kerr bowled a good spell until the last over and ended up with 4-29-1. Mark Watt(4-30-1) bowled some tight lines and lengths even though went for a few extra runs.
