That's it from the live coverage of the ICC U19 World Cup second semi-final between India and Australia. India have made it through to the final where they will face England. Do join us for that encounter as well as other coverages from all across the globe. This is Badal Pareek signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Saurabh Saket, Arya Sekhar Chakroborty and our scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Thanks for joining us, see you soon until then stay safe.
Cooper Connolly (Captain Australia): Going into the last ten, we thought we were in a good position, but they scored 100 and thus 290 was a bridge too far. The experience was good, but the only problem was the bubble. The way we played spin was good and we just got better with every session.
Yash Dhull (Player of the Match/ Captain India): The plan for me and Rasheed was to bat till the end, and it worked. It's a proud moment to be the third Indian captain to score a U19 ton after Virat Kohli and Unmukt Chand. The idea was to bat steadily, not to try too many shots, and to bat past the 40th over. Rasheed and I bat well together, we combine well and it showed.
The Indian bowlers have bowled out Australia for 194 runs. India wins by 96 runs after posting a mammoth first innings total of 290 runs on the board.

India won the toss and decided to bat first. There was a lot of help off the wicket early on for Australian pacers who did manage to get an early breakthrough. They made life difficult for the Indian top-order batters. It was very difficult to get initially, India lost their second wicket when they were on 37. In came Yash Dhull the Indian skipper to accompany Shaikh Rasheed the vice-captain of the team. They managed to get past that difficult phase and went on to stitch a massive partnership of over 200 runs for the third wicket. They picked up the scoring rate once they were set. Dhull went on to score a magnificent ton whereas Rasheed just fell short of a well deserved century. Post that the lower middle order also contributed with some quick-fire runs. India scored over a hundred runs in the last 10 overs. They went on to post a mammoth total of 290 runs.

Australia got off to the worst possible start as they lost Wyllie the man in form in the second over of the chase. Kellaway and Miller managed to steady the ship for the Australian's. They soon picked up the scoring rate and were well on course. The Indian captain decided to go all out at the Australians with all his spinning options. Angkrish opened the flood gates with the wicket of Miller and post that they never really recovered. Ostwal came into the attack and added salt to the wounds with another quick wicket. Australia went from 71-1 to 83-4 in no time. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and soon were 125 for 7. Shaw did manage to stick around and he tried his best to get Australia closer to the total. Eventually, he was dismissed on 51 by Ravi Kumar. Australia were bowled out for 194 runs in 41.5 overs. Vicky Ostwal was the pick of the bowlers for India today as he picked up 3 wickets for 42 runs in his 10 overs.

India have won the match by 96 runs and will now face England in the final of the ICC U19 World Cup. The final is scheduled for the 5th of February 2022. Do join us for that coverage.
India U19 have won by 96 runs. They will face England in the final.
41.5 Bawa to J Nisbet
W And that's it. India goes through to the final and will meet England on Saturday. It's the 8th time they have reached the final of the U 19 World Cup and 4th final on a trot. What a dominating performance this has been. Big day, big game and they have turned up. A short of a length delivery from Bawa on this occasion. Nisbet tries to pull it away but ends up getting it from the splice of the bat down the mid-off region. Whitney was trying to pinch a non-existent single and the direct hit does the job for India. The onfield umpire doesn't wait to go for the third umpire and signals out on field.
41.4 Bawa to J Nisbet
0 Fuller-length delivery on the off-stump channel. Nisbet only manages to work this away down the short cover region.
41.3 Bawa to T Whitney
1 Shortish length delivery just outside the off-stump. Whitney goes for the pull and gets the inside half of the bat down the deep square leg region and rotates the strike.
41.2 Bawa to T Whitney
0 This time a back of a length delivery a bit wide outside the off-stump. Whitney waits for it and tries to carve it away past point but doesn't make any contact.
41.1 Bawa to T Whitney
0 Raj Bawa into the attack. Swing and a miss on this occasion. Length delivery just outside the off-stump channel. No half measures from Whitney. Swings through the line but doesn't make any connection.

40.6 R Kumar to J Nisbet
0 Nisbet nicely behind that good-length delivery outside the off-stump channel. Defends this solidly off the frontfoot.
40.5 R Kumar to J Nisbet
0 Again goes for the yorker but ends up as a low full toss. Nisbet pushes this away down the mid-off fielder on the frontfoot.
40.4 R Kumar to T Whitney
1 Whitney has made his intentions clear. He is going to go after everything. Ravi Kumar goes for the yorker but ends up as a low full toss which is lifted down the deep cover-point area for a single.
40.3 R Kumar to T Whitney
6 Little bit of fun for the lower order. A short of a length delivery this time from Ravi Kumar. Whitney goes deep into his crease and pulls it away with all his might and the ball goes sailing over the deep midwicket fence. Good connection this time yet again.
40.2 R Kumar to T Whitney
6 This is an incredible shot from Whitney. Lot of power and that gone a long long way. As flat as it gets. Absolutely slapped from his presence. The bat swing, the connection and the result all syncing together. Width on offer from Ravi Kumar. Whitney dismisses this from his presence over the deep cover region.
40.1 R Kumar to T Whitney
0 Ravi Kumar continues. A yorker-length delivery outside off and dug out only as far as the point fielder.
