So that is it from the sixth game in the T20 Blast. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ovaise Shariff who alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live actions from this mouth-watering fixture. We will meet in the next game. Until then, it's cheers...!!
Akshaya: Durham Dynamos start the competition with a win! They have thrashed their opponents Leicestershire Foxes by 54-runs. Paul Coughlin's all-round performance makes sure that Leicestershire were on their knees!

Chasing a big target of 185, Leicestershire needed a good start. But their debutant Hamish Rutherford was undone by a booming in-swinger from Paul Coughlin in the very first ball of the chase. They lost two wickets in the first over and the second one was Rutherford's partner up at the top, Lewis Hill.

In the powerplay itself Durham had closed the game by picking up three wickets. The Foxes where never really arrived at the chase as they lost wickets at clusters leaving the lower order to do too much of a work.

Only Rishi Patel could deal with the bowlers of Dynamos and showed some resistance which helped his side to crawl past the 100-run mark.

There were two 35-run partnerships in the innings. One was between Colin Ackermann (15 off 20) and Rishi Patel (40 off 31) for the fourth wicket and the other was between Ben Mike (24 off 16) and the 17-year-old debutant Rehan Ahmed (18 off 12) for the seventh wicket.

Naveen ul-Haq was the last man to go as he was bowled by a cracking yorker from Ben Raine, getting bundled out for just 130 in 17.5 overs.

For Durham, it was their pace ace, Paul Coughlin who decimated the Leicestershire innings with his breath-taking spell of 4-0-15-4. Liam Trevaskis chipped in with a couple of wickets while Brydon Carse, Ben Raine, Scott Borthwick and Aston Turner all scalped a wicket each.

Earlier, Durham were put into bat and they on the bank of some humongous batting efforts from their lower-order finished at 184/8 in their allotted 20 overs.

Graham Clark (36 off 27) was the only top-order player to score above 25. His partner up at the top, Michael Jones (21 off 13) added a healthy opening wicket stand of 32 in four overs.

After the fall of Jones, Durham lost a few quick wickets and were on a spot of bother on ending up at a below par total. But thanks for their skipper Aston Turner (32 off 18), Paul Coughlin (42 off 30) and Ned Eckersley for a last minute cameo off 20 from just 9-deliveries as these batters saved them after being three down at 47.

There were no big partnerships but handy enough partnerships of 25s, 30s, and 35s took them past the 180-run mark.

For Leicestershire, their youngest bowler, Rehan Ahmed was impressive with his figures of 4-0-22-2. Roman Walker did pick up two wickets but was very expensive giving away 52 in his full quota of overs. Callum Parkinson, Naveen ul-Haq, Arron Lilley, and Ben Mike chipped in with a wicket each.
