Milestone
That is it from this cliffhanger from Adelaide. India have done well to handle the pressure after being come under the scanners of Litton Das's brilliance. 'A break can change the momentum of play', and this famous say came true yet again! India have moved to the top of the Group 2 points table with 6 points, and they have Zimbabwe in their final group fixture. While the qualification scenario getting, it's the clarity we have a big game coming up tomorrow in Sydney between South Africa and Pakistan!

So, then join us again for the matches being covered across the globe. For now, it is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Arijit Kundu, Anurag Dasgupta, Arjun Bhalla and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav as we brought you all the live-action of this mouth-watering clash. We will meet again, until then, it is cheers!
Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "Bit of both, It was important for us to stay calm and execute our plans. I mean, to have 10 wickets in hand after the break it could go either way. It is a shortened game and I think we did well to get past.

Yeah, I think when he [Arshdeep] came into the team, we asked him to do this role. And with Burmah not being around, it's difficult for anyone to defend such scores. It is difficult for such a young man to come and do it. But we had prepared him. He's been doing it for the past 9 months. There was a choice between Shami and him, but in the end, you have to back someone who has been doing for you in the last couple of games.

In my opinion, he was always there, it was a matter of here and there, and he got the runs in the Asia Cup. We never had any doubts and the kind of form he [Virat Kohli] has been showing is tremendous. The guy has been in good form, and has been always doing for us. The experience he brings in is immense.

And also, the way KL batted today, we know the kind of player he is. If he bats in the same way for us, he puts the team in a different position.

To take those catches under pressure, it isn't easy. And I always knew that we are a good fielding side, and had no doubts on it"
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh Captain): "Yeah, It's been the story for us. We all always played good cricket against India but never go past the finishing line. It was a great game and in the end, one has to win and the other will lose. He's been ourbest batsman going around. The way he batted in the powerplay, gave the momentum to us, and the belief that we could chase this with short boundaries.

If you look at India's top four, they are very dangerous. Taskin was doing good, beating the outside edge of the batters. He was economical. Yes, we have been quite relaxed and havent talked too much cricket in this World Cup at the backend. We have one more match to go and we want to concentrate on that."
6:01 PM IST | Time to hear from the skippers.
Virat Kohli (Player of the Match): "Well first of all Thank You, pretty close game, not as close as we would like to be. When I went in, there was pressure, Since the last game itself, I felt like I was striking the ball well. I didn't want to let my mistakes curb me.

I don't want to compare but I feel I am in a happy place. As soon as I knew that the World Cup was in Australia, I was grinning from ear to ear. I played a lot of cricket here. good cricketing shots will be the key and I knew that I needed to hit through the line of the ball. I knew that the game awareness I have would come in handy with me.

I don't know what it is for me, As soon as I enter the Stadium it makes me feel like home. You know that knock at MCG, I don't know when I come here, it makes me feel like home."
5:47 PM IST | What a game it has been, and India have held their nerves well to come on top against Bangladesh as they win by 5 runs (DLS) and move to the top of the points table with 6 points!

It is absolute scenes here at the Adelaide Oval as Bangladesh come under tears. The Tigers have been blown away in the rain which came in between run chase. A big win in the bank for India and a salute to the Indian death bowlers.

Earlier in the match, Bangladesh won the toss and opt to field. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started quite freakishly as India lost their skipper in the 4th over. Though Rahul was scratchy to begin with, he slowly lifted his game as he came back to form with a delicious fifty. While Virat Kohli was getting settled at the other end, Rahul (50 off 32) steadied the run rate with a few good strokes and stitched 67 runs for the second wicket.

In came India's Mr.360, Suryakumar Yadav, who played an array of shots to score a quick cameo of 16-ball 30. Once he departed, India lost wickets at the other end, but Virat Kohli stood tall at the other end and smoked Bangladesh bowlers all around the ground to score yet another T20 World Cup fifty. He was unbeaten on 44-ball 64 and, alongside Ravichandran Ashwin (13* off 6), propelled the team's total to 184/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed, though, went wicketless and was the best bowler in terms of economy. While Hasan Mahmud picked three wickets, Shakib Al Hasan scalped a couple of wickets.

Chasing this target, Litton Das came out all guns blazing to decimate the Indian bowling in the powerplay as Bangladesh scored 60/0 in the first six overs. At the end of 7 overs, the Bangla Tigers were 66/0 and were in firm control of the chase. But in came the rain, and it was the moment when it scared India as they were behind by 17 runs on DLS.

The match was then reduced to 16 overs, and the target was 151 as the play resumed after the rain break.
A moment of brilliance by KL Rahul on the field to hit the bull's eye straight after the resumption sent the red-hot Litton Das (60 off 27), and the collapse was initiated. Bangladesh lost their momentum and lost wickets in clusters and lost their way in the chase.

Though Taskin Ahmed (12* off 7) and Nurul Hasan (25* off 14) smoked a few out of the park but despite their efforts, the target was a little too much to handle as they bowed down by 5 runs in the end via the DLS method.

For India, Arshdeep Singh bowled with serious accuracy to finish with 2 wickets in his 4 overs quota. While Hardik Pandya scalped a couple of wickets, Mohammed Shami ended with a wicket to his name. Rohit did well to finish the overs of spinners well by the 10th over, and they somehow managed to breathe a sigh of relief at the end.

Stay tuned for the presentations!

1 Pitched up and on the off, Nurul mistimes it to long off for a single. Arshdeep Singh celebrates and India have gone past the finishing line.🔥 Arshdeep keeps his nerve, and dishes this at the off peg, and Nurul fails to get underneath the ball and mistimes the smack, one bounce to the fielder at long off. We have had another humdinger in this T20 World Cup and India have etched past South Africa in the points table with two points added in their bags.
Nurul Hasan is taking it deep! A boundary under pressure, and India need to defend 7 off the final delivery! Rohit, Rahul and Arshdeep are having a huddle. They are calming Arshdeep's nerves.
15.5 A Singh to N Hasan
4 FOURRRRR!! Oh My Man!! What a game it has been!! Full and wide outside the off from Arshdeep and Nurul stays deep and throws the kitchen sink at it. The ball goes through the gates behind the square on the off and the ball unfurls towards the ropes. 7 runs needed from 1 ball. 6 runs will produce super over. The heat is on!!🔥
A direct hit at the bowler's end would have been Taskin in trouble. Bangladesh need 11 runs to win in 2 balls.
15.4 A Singh to N Hasan
2 Pitches it up this time and Nurul mistimes the thump along the ground to long on. The Bangladesh duo hustles for a double and gets it. Arshdeep fails to grab the ball firmly as it was directed from the deep.
Excellent delivery under pressure from Arshdeep! Bangladesh need 13 from 3 balls now!
15.3 A Singh to N Hasan
0 Comes a bit fine of the popping crease this time, and dishes this at the woods, at the off and middle. The batter looks to go big time and ends up getting a leading edge in front of cobvers.
Arshdeep is under pressure! Nurul has smoked that one out of the park. Bangladesh need 13 off 4 balls now. Rohit is having a chat with his bowler.
15.2 A Singh to N Hasan
6 SIXXXX!! Change of angle from Arshdeep and drops the length short this time. The Bangladesh fans are geared up as Nurul Hasan has pulled this one over the fielders between deep mid and deep square leg for a six. Not the ideal delivery to bowl!!
Nurul is back on strike. 19 runs off 5 deliveries now! Arshdeep changes his angle. Comes from around the wicket.
