That is all we have from the commentary box. The World Giants will be back tomorrow for the clash against India Maharajas and it will be a do-or-die contest for the Maharajas. Do join us at 7:20 am for the build up. Till then it's ta-ta and good-night from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) and my fellow commentators Ajay Ahire and AkshayaKrishna Polya.
Darren Sammy, World Giants skipper: " We are having some fun. It's nice to share the dressing room with some of the bests. Well look Jonty is the fielding coach, myself. We said that we have to come out to the park. The guys try to take care in the field. Take the pace of the game. Not trying to do anything heroic. I am too old for an ice bath. We have an excellent team. The guys enjoy each other's company. It has shown in the games we have played that we are enjoying each other's company."
Kevin Pietersen, Legend of the match: " Can I(as Anjum Chopra says you can come closer) haha. It was a great game. It's good to make come back in this League and bat the way I did. Oman is a beautiful place. It's a good place. Probably looking for a IPL contract, haha haha. No, not at all looking to play any leagues right now( taking about PSL which is starting from tomorrow). Happily retired and I am happy with that. Thank you."
Misbah-ul-Haq, Asia Lions skipper: "Yeah, not enough gas left. haha. Obviously here you need to score 200. KP is batting like this no total is enough. We lost wickets early and that is the reason why we didn't put enough score on the board. Brett Lee and Morne Morkel ran in and bowled well. Obviously, we cannot plan to out when he plays like that. We were waiting for any mishit. And I will say him that  PSL begins from tomorrow. Let's see what happens tomorrow. Just see whether we come fit tomorrow"
Brad Haddin: " We played well. Kevin Pietersen played amazingly well. Yeah, it was good fun. Grouping together the whole day and have some fun and enjoy the game when we are playing. We played some golf in the pool area. Same plans for tomorrow as well."
Arya: Earlier in the day it was a top-class bowling performance from the World Giants to set up the win for their team. Brett Lee started off brilliantly with a beautiful away swinger. While he was nowhere close to hitting the 140 kph in the speed gun, he was very effective. Sidebottom got the wicket of Sanath Jayasuriya to start the downfall and then it was a sensational full quick delivery from Morne Morkel which was the reason behind Dilshan's undoing.

Morkel bowled a hostile spell and was unlucky to not bag the wicket of Upul Tharanga. The batsman himself thought he got an edge but the ultra-edge showed no spike which saved him. Following that scenario, Tharanga as if hanging in guilt started smashing boundaries after boundaries. He was eventually dismissed as he chanced his arms too many times.

Asghar Afghan again played a breezy knock of 41 runs which took them to a score close to the 150 mark. Chaminda Vaas struck some lusty blows in the final two overs to get them to a score where the bowlers can at least have something to bowl at. Sidebottom and Morne Morkel were the pick of the bowlers for World Giants bagging a couple of wickets each.
Arya: A dominant batting performance from the World Giants as they romp home by 7 wickets and with seven overs to spare. Led by a masterclass from Kevin Peitersen, the World Giants made the target of 150 looks ridiculously easy as they chased it down at a canter. This has certainly helped them increase their net run rate and even if they lose tomorrow by a small margin, they will still go through to the final.

Given the previous encounters, the run-chase was never going to be a tall ask for the World Giants and Kevin Pietersen made it inevitable after just a few overs. He blazed away to an array of shots in the powerplay as they raced off to 62 in the first 6 overs and there was just no looking back for them. Sanath Jayasuriya was massacred for 30 runs in an over which followed a 21 runs over from Dilhara Fernando and there was no way back for the Asia Lions.

It was Nuwan Kulasekara who provided the maiden breakthrough when he got the wicket of Herschelle Gibbs to reduce them to 28/1 but from there on it was just sheer carnage on display as the balls kept flying over the boundary ropes. Pietersen was making a mockery of the Asia Lions bowling during his devastating display of batsmanship. His innings of 86 of 38 which included 9 fours and 7 sixes.

Kevin O'Brien also provided him with able support as he worked his way through to 31 of 24 deliveries. Pietersen was eventually dismissed by Muralitharan but by then the match was all but done and dusted. Corey Anderson was also dismissed at the final juncture of the match. In the end, it was Brad Haddin who struck a boundary down deep square leg to seal the match for the World Giants.

12.6 M Muralitharan to B Haddin
4 FOURR!! And Brad Haddin finishes the game in style. Shortish length on off. Haddin on the back foot crunches this pull towards deep mid wicket area. It goes slight uppishly in the air but falls safe over the deep man just before the boundary ropes. Umpires checking for six or four and it's four. Giants win by 7 wickets.

Looks close here. They have gone upstairs here for a stumping check. And replays confirm that Anderson fails to get his back foot inside the line in time. So OUT is the call from the third umpire.
12.5 M Muralitharan to C Anderson
W WICKETT!! Tosses it up fuller on a length just outside the off. Anderson was lured on the front foot for this one. Some turn and bounce means that the batter gets beaten on the outside edge. Tharanga behind takes bails off in a flash. Third umpire review for a stumping here. Fair delivery. The batter was outside the crease as bails were taken off. Anderson has to go now.
12.4 M Muralitharan to K O'Brien
1 Tosses it fuller on off and middle. O'Brien works this one to deep square leg for a single.
12.3 M Muralitharan to C Anderson
1 Slower through the air. On middle. Anderson on the front foot nudges it to mid wicket for a single.
12.2 M Muralitharan to K O'Brien
1 Short and outside the off. O'Brien on the back foot cuts it to deep covers for a single.
12.1 M Muralitharan to K O'Brien
4 FOURRR!! Tosses it fuller just on off. O'Brien tries to slog it over the long on area. Gets the outside the edge which flies past the keeper for a boundary towards deep third man region. Streaky one.
Akshaya will take you through the end of innings.
