Paul Stirling| Ireland Skipper: "We are delighted. It doesn't happen every time that we come on an away trip and win that too against a team like the West Indies. Very proud of the lads the way they performed especially coming back from being 1-0 down. Yes, the toss was in our favor on all three occasions but we still outperformed then so delighted with that. We have always been a tight unit and that's one of our strengths. Andy is not on the ground today and would have supported us on every ball, I know that. Tector has been amazing and his consistency in ODI cricket in the last 10-15 knocks has been outstanding I think he continues that and I hope it doesn't put too much pressure on him. He has much potential as you can and is hungry to score runs. Andy McBrine is someone who epitomizes how an Irish cricketer should be. It's not easy to come back after you are hit on the head. But the determination, the passion to win us the game which he has, the partnership with Harry (Tector) was important and his bowling has been magnificent. To do the hard yards coming in at number 3 is not easy but that's what we need from the boys."
Kieron Pollard | West Indies Skipper: " I think it's sad day for us and sad day for West Indies cricket as well. Bit tough to swallow. I take the responsibility for this. We have batting problems and it's difficult to win games by having these problems. Our bowling is decent and they can only defend what the batters put on the board. We are lacking in some aspects. It's matter of finding the right combination and thinking where we are taking the West Indies cricket forward."
Andy McBrine | Player of the Match and Player of the Series: "The win means a lot to us. The way things have gone for us over the last four weeks, it's good to finish on a high. Tried to keep it simple while bowling and wait for the batters to make mistakes. We were looking to build a partnership in the middle and take the game as deep as possible. Happy to get across the line."

Akshay: That’s it. That’s the end of the game and Ireland creates
history as they defeat West Indies in an ODI series for the first time. It went
down to the wire but the Irishmen held their nerves to win the game by two
wickets and seal the series by a 2-1 margin.
Earlier in the day, Paul Stirling won the toss for the third time in a row and opted to bowl first. West Indies got off to a flying start, thanks to a quickfire fifty from Shai Hope but his dismissal dented their progress as the Irish side bounced back in the game. The bowlers bowled brilliantly and kept picking wickets at regular intervals as the hosts struggled to recover and failed to build a partnership.
Jason Holder lower down the order tried hard and scored 44 but they were knocked over on 212 in the 45th over. Andy McBrine starred with the ball as he picked up four wickets giving away only 28 runs his 10 overs. Craig Young also chipped in with three wickets.
It was a tricky chase for the Irish side and they got off to a worst possible start as William Porterfield was dismissed on the very first ball of the innings. Paul Stirling along with McBrine led the recovery work as they both put up a solid partnership. Stirling departed on 44 and Harry Tector joined McBrine. They both put a very good partnership.
Both McBrine and Tector brought up their respective half-centuries. Tector held the innings nicely from one end but his departure on 52 led to a mini-collapse. The hosts bounced back in the game as Chase and Hosein wreaked havoc. It went right down the wire but the Irishmen held their nerves, in the end, to chase down the total with two wickets in hand.

Good length outside the off stump, rocks back and cuts off the middle of the bat. No chance for any fielder to get to the ball! What a win for Ireland! Paul Stirling has been absolutely magnificent as a leader.
