So thats it from the double-header Friday. Hope you've enjoyed the coverage from us. Thank you, Arijit Kundu this side and time to bid adieu alongside co-commentators, Ajay Ahire, Shubham and our analyst cum scorer, Paras ji.
Babar Azam(Karachi Kings captain):  "First of all, congratulations to the Karachi Kings for winning a match finally. It was a good pitch, we aimed 170-180 and we fell 15-20 runs short of it. We wanted to pick early wickets and we managed to do it. We knew Fakhar was their main batsman and our plan was to get him early which we did and that set the tone for us. Our bowlers bowled to the plan, I rotated the bowlers as I didn't want their batters to settle against a particular bowler. Today it was shown again why Yorkers are so highly rated in T20's, especially in death overs. Our bowlers executed them and mixed it up nicely. Hopefully we will continue this momemtum."
Shaheen Shah Afridi(Lahore Qalandars captain): "The one who plays well, will win. I think we gave away our wickets quite early. We were playing good cricket and hopeful that we will come back stronger. I think Zaman has really bowled well, and as well as Hamza has bowled good.Momentum is there in the team except this game and I hope that we will take the positives from here on and play some good cricket."(in hindi)
Mir Hamza (Player of the match): "Yes got the extra bounce from the pitch and the plan was clear to win the match that's it. Were discussing line and length with Babar and with that we did get the wicket off Wiese. Length ball was doing well for me but still tried to bowl more cutters and got the reward in the end."
While arriving for the chase Lahore Qalanadars incurred early blows like their tonight's opponent. Kamran Ghulam stayed around for a while and was later dismissed by Imad Wasim as the former miscued a Fuller delivery down to long on. Two more quick wickets in the 12th over put the Qalanadars on 64-5 after 11.2 overs. The chase was down to English youngster, Harry Brook and David Wiese from Namibia and both the batters managed to glue a short 55 runs stand at the end. The Qalandars needed 55 runs of the last 4 overs but Usman Shinwari and Hamza bowled brilliantly in the slog overs to turn the tables in the favour of Karachi Kings. A couple of wickets lately in the game and KIngs beat the Qalandars by a margin of 22 runs.
The match did go down the wire but it was Usman Shinwari and Hamza's overs at the slog overs that created the pressure and made the difference. Finally, the first victory for the Karachi Kings in the tournament after a streak of 8 losses. The bowler's have been brilliant today and has managed to fetch a victory  by a margin of 22 runs. The Qalandars would surely be unhappy to not have chased a modest total and lost wickets in successive occasions.

Earlier in the game, Babar Azam won the toss for Karachi Kings and chose to bat first. Karachi lost a wicket right in the second over of the game and Joe Clarke was the one to depart. Sharjeel Khan too followed him on quick succession. Babar Azam was supported half-heartedly by youngster Qasim Akram and wicketkeeper, Rohail Nazir for some time and later the wickets started to crumble post 10th over. Both Rashid Khan and Zaman Khan wreak havoc in their lower middle batting order and the Kings was bundled for 149 with a ball to spare in the innings. Both Rashid and Zaman bagged a four-for each.
Karachi Kings gets their first win of the season in their 9th attempt.

1 A low fulltoss from the bowler outside the off peg and the batter mistimes it down the ground for a single. So, the first victory for Karachi Kings in this edition of Pakistan Super League.

W Uproots the timbers!! Whoaaa!! What a peach!! Fires it on the fuller region, straight at the stumps. Rashid Khan misses on the big heave and the ball crunches into the furniture set. Jordon ends the battle with a short stare.
19.3 C Jordan to R Khan

W Full and into the batter this time. This one scutters between the limbs of Rashid. Shaheen had run towards the striker's end while Rashid was still inside the crease. Poor communincation  between the duo and Afridi departs as the bails are dislodged at the bowler's end.
Karachi Kings are on the verge of winning their first game of this season...
