Thanks for joining us for the live coverage of the 2nd T20 international between India and the West Indies. This was Badal Pareek alongside Akshayakrishna Polya. Congratulations to India as they clinch the trophy. We will be back with you as we bring you updates from all across the globe. Until then stay tuned and stay safe!
Rishabh Pant | Man of the match: "As long as the team wants me to bat anywhere it's ok for me. I was running for the catch initially but it was Bhuvi's catch in the end. It's part of the game. I don't mind playing the situation and not only at death. The more you practice, the better you get. The only think we were discussing is to play according to the ball. It is never easy to bat the way I want every game. In the earlier days I wanted to be an Indian Cricketer and today I am playing here. I am enjoying that at the moment. He was striking the ball really hard like bullet. I was happy as he is the team mate in Delhi Capitals but when you are playing for India it's different feeling."
Rohit Sharma | Winning Captain: "It is always scary when we play against these guys. But in the end, it was a phenomenal finish to the game. I thought right from the start we knew it was going to be slightly tough, it is not going to be easy. We knew the game was going to go to the last ball and we were prepared. Under pressure, we executed our plan very well and that's what I am proud of. Absolutely, brilliant bowling by Bhuvi at critical stages, that is where experience comes in. Just calm down and execute your plan. Bhuvi has been doing that for many years now and he is capable of hitting those yorkers when he wants to and those bouncers here and there. We believe in his talent a lot. Kohli's innings took the pressure off me. It was pleasing to the eye. Towards the end, Iyer and Pant did brilliantly. It is pleasing to see him do what he is doing. He wanted to bowl towards the end of the innings and we love such individuals who are ready to take responsibility. We were sloppy in the field and would love to minimise such errors."
Kieron Pollard | Losing Captain: "Yeah, he was phenomenal today. Yeah, that partnership between Powell and Pooran almost brought us home. They are batting consistently. Pooran with couple of fifties and Powell got two 50 plus scores in his last four games. Look sometimes we need to respect the ball and conditions. In the first innings it was moving a touch. Jason Holder has bowled well against the Indian team and today we brought him back in place of Fabian. Chase is good with the ball. Look in the first match we were below par with the scoring and today we came close. It's a work in progress improving every game."
Time for the presentation here.
Badal: Bhuvneshwar Kumar saves the day for team India with a brilliant 19th over where he only conceded 4 runs and dismissed in-form Nicolas Pooran. India won by 8 runs in the end. They take a 2-0 unassailable in this T20 series.

Earlier in the day, the Caribbean side won the toss and opted to bowl first. Ishan Kishan could be seen struggling since the early came, and soon had to depart after Sheldon Cottrell gave his side the first breakthrough. Roston Chase put India on the back foot after he got consecutive wickets in form of skipper Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant gave India the stabilization they were looking for as the duo helped India out of the peril in the middle overs. Chase however got his team back in the game monetarily after earning the crucial wicket of Kohli. Venkatesh Iyer was the next in line as the batter alongside Pant picked up the scoring rate in the death overs and helped India put up 186 runs on the board at the end of twenty overs.

The West Indies started the chase in a cautious way. Both the openers managed to get past the initial overs without giving away their wicket. In the last over of the powerplay, Yuzvendra Chahal picked up Mayers and shortly after Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Brandon King. Post that Pooran and Powell started the rebuild. They were slow off the blocks but picked up the pace when it mattered. Both the batters were given an opportunity as India didn't manage to grab hold of the chances that they were given. Powell and Pooran both brought up their half-century and brought down the required net run rate well within their reach. They needed 29 runs off the last two overs.

Bhuvi managed to break the partnership in the penultimate over. He dismissed Nicholas Pooran and brought India back in the power seat. A brilliant over by Bhuvi meant they need 25 runs off the last 6 balls. Harshal did get hit for a couple of maximum in the final over but he manages to defend it and help India win by 8 runs.
India has won this encounter by 8 runs and take the series 2-0 as they take an unassailable lead.

1 And with that it's an Indian win here at Eden Gardens. Win by 8 runs and takes the series 2-0 with a match remaining. A quick full toss on middle. Pollard on the front foot brings his bat down and plays it to long on for a single.
19.5 H Patel to R Powell
1 Single. Slower low full toss and Harshal Patel holds his nerve here. Powell bends down and smokes it to long on for a single. 10 need from a ball now.
Can the West Indies still manage to win this? That's brilliant hitting by Powell.
19.4 H Patel to R Powell
6 SIXXX!!! Two in two for Powell. Need 11 from 2 balls now. That's a mighty hit. Full and in the slot on off. Powell clears his front leg and slogs it hard from the middle of the bat over the deep mid wicket boundary for a maximum here. 102m long that one. Some ball striking that one from Powell.
19.3 H Patel to R Powell
6 SIXXX!! Fuller and in the slot. Rovman Powell on the front foot powers this slog over the long on for a six. Can he become another Carlos Braithwaite here? That was some brutal power from Powell.
19.2 H Patel to K Pollard
1 Another single. Slow ball and wide outside the off. Very wide to be honest. Pollard on the front foot drills it hard to long off for a single.
19.1 H Patel to R Powell
1 From wider of the crease. Good yorker on middle stump line. Great execution. Powell inside edges it back on to his boots and gets a single.
A brilliant over here by Bhuvi and India are in the driving seat here. 25 runs needed off the last over here.

18.6 B Kumar to R Powell
1 Single to end the very good over from Bhuvi. Full and straight yorker on off. Powell clears his front leg and slogs it to deep mid wicket for a single. Just 4 off that over.
18.5 B Kumar to K Pollard
1 Pollard is off the mark with that single here. Short ball just outside the off. Pollard on the back foot pulls it to deep square leg for a single here.
