We are set for a decider at Oval now! South Africa won the first match, and now the hosts give it back to them with an innings win. Hope you enjoyed our coverage.

I am AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Hitesh Peddurwar, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Dushyant Kumar brought you all the live` actions from this fascinating day of Test cricket. We will meet in the next game. Until then, it's cheers!
Ben Stokes(Player of the Match and England Captain): " Yeah it's been incredible, whenever we come here we get a fantastic ovation, especially when jimmy bowls from his end. Yeah after a loss at the lord's it's good to be back and win the game. Crawley played very well at the top of the order, the way that he applied himself and he was relentless with his decision. Ben Foakes was exceptional, the way he batted and kept the wickets was pretty good. Amazing game for him he should never forget it. Robinson was called back to the team, he had a tough time in the last couple of months but he did all the work and got back into the game, we know he is a quality bowler.

It was just adapting to the pitch, some balls were skidding in and some were bouncing, I was looking to be positive and that made it easy for us as a team. If we have a clear mindset that makes things easier. I looked at the scoreboard and looked at how many overs are left before the second new ball.I felt in good rhythm as the ball was reverse swinging."
Player of the match: Ben Stokes
Dean Elgar(South Africa captain): "Not at all, I thought Knowing that the wicket might crumble like any games. Obviously, the first innings wasn't the way we would have loved to be. There are always learnings out of it. Lot of learnings out of it. We will try to get better than this in the next Test.

Yeah, I think we lost three in the first, the middle order tried but in the end, we couldn't do it. Well, obviously the spinners were getting some wickets. It was quite hard at times. We could have done a lot of things better. But unfortunately, there are a lot of learnings from it. Cricket is such a funny thing. The Drs doesn't go in your favor at times and if a leading edge goes through the hands. . we were always in the game, and the game is a batsman's margin at times. As mentioned, the drs gets away with a loud shout.

Rassie has got a fracture in the finger. I am not a doctor but I think he won't be around for the next Test. It's always unfortunate a thing.

This is what Test cricket needs. Two of the best nations playing against each other."
Akshaya: 10:14 PM IST:  Yes, England have made a strong comeback in the series after losing the first Test by an innings. They won the second Test match by an innings and 85 runs!

After trailing by a massive margin of 264 runs, South Africa did reduce 23 off them yesterday without losing any wickets. Dean Elgar and Sarel Erwee resumed the innings on day three. But, England pacers did the damage early on as they decimated the top order by picking three wickets in the first session to reduce the visitors to 54/3.

Keegan Petersen and Rassie van der Dussen could only manage to delay the inevitable as the dup added 87 runs for the fourth wicket, batting out the entire second session without further damage.

Ben Stokes continued his fiery spell after the tea break and showed van der Dussen (41 off 132) the road to the pavilion in the third ball after the break. Stokes didn't stop here as he dismissed well-set Petersen (42 off 159) in his next over to keep the Proteas on the backfoot.

Simon Harmer joined Kyle Verreynne in the middle and managed to play out a few overs. However, once England decided to take the second new ball, it was only a matter of time before they won it. Anderson and Robinson shared five wickets between them with the second new cherry as they skittled out South Africa for 179. Amidst the chaos, Anderson surpassed Glenn McGrath to become the top international wicket-taker for a pacer.

Robinson scalped four wickets while Anderson picked three. Stokes chipped in with two and Broad got a wicket as well.

Earlier in the Test match, South Africa won the toss and opt to bat. However, the decision backfired on the Dean Elgar-led side as they were skittled out for just 151 runs on the first afternoon. The senior pros of James Anderson and Stuart Broad were the main wreckers in chief in decimating the visitors, scalping three wickets each.

England were in a spot of bother after bundling out South Africa for 151, as they lost three wickets for 43 runs. Zak Crawley (38 off 101) and Jonny Bairstow (49 off 63) steadied the ship with a 91-run stand before Ben Stokes (103 off 163), and Ben Foakes (113* off 217) took the game away with whirlwind centuries. Stokes declared the innings at 415/9, with a lead of 264!

So, it is 1-1! The third and final Test match will commence on September 8 at the Oval!
