That's the end of our coverage for the ODI series. As usual, it was a pleasure bringing you the coverage of this entertaining series. Do join us for the coverage of the T20I series between these two teams, starting from 9th July. Till the next time, it's a ta-ta and a goodnight from me, Anurag Dasgupta, and my co-commentators, Arjun Bhalla and Anurag Singh.
Heather Knight | England captain: Little disappointed on how it ended. It was a very good game. We were a few runs on short on the slow wicket. It was tricky to get boundaries and we should have got more singles. We should be punching out 240-250 every single time. We lost key wickets at important times, we needed to keep wickets and go big in the last five overs. We tried to look at different people at different roles today as the series was over, but I trusted Brunt and Ecclestone to get the game done today.
Mithali Raj | Player of the Match: I never gave up in the middle. We just needed one good partnership to take us through. I knew I could manage the game in the middle overs, but when you have young players you have to guide them. I have enjoyed chasing. I wanted to be there and win the game for the team, I picked the bowlers to attack and along the way guided Sneh Rana. It is always good to have an all rounder in the side, she has been phenomenal for us throughout the series.
Sophie Ecclestone | Player of the Series: A little disappointing. We have to come back strongly in the T20s. It is quite nice to have the trust of the captain. She batted well today and had the right tempo to her innings. It is nice to have Glenny in the side, we are the same age and have the same music taste.
Earlier in the day, India won the toss and elected to field first on an overcast day. England lost Tammy Beaumont very early in the innings, but then the experienced Heather Knight steadied the ship, alongside Lauren Winfield-Hill. The duo added 67 runs for the second wicket before Winfield-Hill was trapped by a lovely tossed up delivery by Sneh Rana. Winfield went after it and was caught in the deep. At one stage, England were 151/3, well on their way to a big total, but a great England collapse was triggered by some sublime Indian fielding and the hosts could only manage to score 219 on the board, which proved to be just a little less on this slow Worcester track.
India's vice captain, Harmanpreet Kaur came to the crease and struggled to even find the gaps. The duo of Kaur and Mithali played slowly, but made sure that India were always in hunt. Kaur's struggle finally came to an end when she tried to be cheeky and got clipped on her back leg of a length delivery. Mithali eventually played the double role of anchor and the finisher and played some gorgeous strokes to notch-up her third fifty in succession. Mithali lost Kaur and Deepti Sharma in quick succession but was amply supported by Sneh Rana, who took the pressure of her and played a gritty 22-ball 24. Eventually Mithali kept her composure and helped her side cross the winning line, with three balls to spare.
Chasing a modest total of 220, the two Indian openers, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma started cautiously. The duo played each ball on its merit and took their time to settle in. But once the seam movement was gone, Mandhana decided to break the shackles and took on the England bowling attack. The southpaw looked in complete control and was on a mission to help her side cross the winning line. On the contrary, Verma had one of those off days where she was not her usual self. She struggled to time the ball properly and eventually threw her wicket at a crucial stage of the match. Jemimah Rodrigues soon followed Verma back to the pavilion and left India in a precarious situation. In-form batter and the Indian skipper, Mithali Raj joined hands with Mandhana and the duo started to resurrect the innings, but Mandhana trying to up the ante lost her wicket and was pinned on her front leg by a top spinner from Sarah Glenn.
That’s the end of the match and what a game we have witnessed. Team India finally managed to defeat England in a nail-biter here at Worcester. A 4-wicket victory and it was a Mithali Raj show as the Indian skipper played a blinder to steer her side past the victory line.
46.3 K Brunt to M Raj
4 FOUR!!!!!! The most important boundary of the match and Raj finishes off things in style. The skipper has done it, the captain has sealed India's first victory on this tour. This might be her last outing in England, but Mithali Raj has given all of us a moment to cherish. Was a length delivery on the fourth stump line and Raj waits for it and then opens the face to drive it on the up to beat the diving point fielder and picks up the most crucial four runs of the match, the series. India win the third ODI, by four wickets. The tour is now at 6-4 with the visitors trailing behind. Bring now the T20Is, bring them on!
DG: 4 required now. Mithali has to be the aggressor here.
46.2 K Brunt to J Goswami
1 Short of a length delivery climbing quickly into Goswami who plays it off the pads behind square to get off the mark with a single. But most importantly, Raj is back on strike!
46.1 K Brunt to M Raj
1 Knocks the back of a length delivery late towards backward point for a single and gives the strike to Goswami now.
Arjun: Six off six. We can do it. Surely, we can. India! India!

45.6 S Ecclestone to S Rana
W WICKET THERE!!! Rana goes to produce a shot and misses that onto the stumps. And Ecclestone has had the last laugh! Rana shuffling across too much and then looks to hoick that length delivery but misses and that goes through to rattle the stumps in the end. England would be seeing the last hope of ray now!!
45.5 S Ecclestone to S Rana
0 Quicker into Rana on the stumps as she backs away for room and then mistimes it to the short mid-wicket fielder for no run.
Singh: Is this a six or a four? It's a boundary. India needs 6 more.
45.4 S Ecclestone to S Rana
4 WOWW!!! Ma'am, I am already a fan. Was almost a MAXIMUM! Rana makes room and slogs the length ball over mid wicket towards the fielder at deep who finger tips it to the fence. That's what India needed, things are under control now!
