So that's all from the commentary box folks. What a sensational decider it turned out to be India emerge winners by a comfortable margin. Till the next time, its adieus from me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and my co-commentators Sourya Chowdhury and Karthik Raj.
Virat Kohli, India Skipper and Player of the Series: It was a complete game for us. Totally outplayed the opposition. Even with so much dew coming in, like last game we've defended the total again. Today was a complete game. Despite Riahabh and Iyer not getting a chance we put on 225. Testimony to our batting depth. Today Rohit and me were both positive in our intent. We knew we could trust each other and one of us can play second fiddle if one takes off. Today it was classic Rohit Sharma. And then Surya coming in at three and taking the game even further away. Then Hardik finishing it. I am going to open in the IPL as well. Have batted in different positions in the past. But I feel we have a solid middle order now. Will definitely like to partner Rohit at the top. Other guys feel a lot more confident when one of us is still in and is set. Augurs well for the team. Also how Shreyas batted in the last game and the responsibility he showed in the first game. Ishan was brilliant. I was particularly pleased with Surya. Bhuvi coming back and bowling like that. Still have Jassi to come back. Don't have much in terms of negatives. Pant showed a lot of maturity through the series as well. Confidence level of Thakur after that series in Australia is sky high. WIth the ball his strength is his belief. Proper cricketer. Giving us runs with the bat as well. Just found out we might have some more (T20Is).
Bhuvneshwar, Player of the Match: Always good to be back. Always good to contribute to the team's win. All good body wise. Was confident because I played the domestic matches. When you get a wicket in the first over with the inswingers, always gives you joy and confidence.
Eoin Morgan, England Captain: Playing against a strong Indian team in their conditions was fantastic. Another fantastic game today. India outplayed us in big moments and deserved to win. We've played some good cricket through the series too. So lots of positives for us. We bat quite deep, and we tend to take advantage of that. Big moments in this series came when we weren't able to take advantage of that with our middle order. Always feel we have the talent in the changing room to give it a crack. Today wasn't our day. One of our huge plusses has been the powerplay bowling in most games. Have to commend Adil Rashid for taking on the new role. Gives us a new option. Not really (any concerns).
Hardik Pandya: I have been working on fine-tuning my action, but at the end of the day you are thinking of what kind of delivery you want to bowl, It's slightly difficult but I am coping really well. When I bat I think as a batsman and when I bowl I think as a bowler. Looking at the World Cup, in this series we wanted to try out a few things and also to break the jinx of batting first and winning, feels really great. The wicket allowed us to use more variations and make sure that the batsmen are not getting anything in their zone.
Shardul Thakur: It's great to be standing here, it was the most important game. We had to beat England. It feels great as wickets don't matter, winning the game matters more. I think the bench strength has become better. Whoever comes into the team, gels nicely. The seniors make the youngsters feel comfortable and so does the coaching staff. I think it's all about intent and hardwork. If you believe in your abilities, wickets will eventually fall down. And you need to take it on from there. I really don't think whether someone is going to take my place. You see Siraj, Saini sitting out, but we share ideas with each other.
Arya: Virat Kohli at the other end was not far away either as he reached his third consecutive half-century in the series and remained unbeaten on 80 of 52 deliveries. He played the anchor's role to perfection and in the end when it mattered the most, it was the "Master of Chase" Kohli who took the English bowlers by the scruff of the neck. Hardik Pandya also played a quick little cameo as India reached their highest T20I total against England. In the end, the score proved to be more than enough as India won the series 3-2.
Arya: Yet again it was the English skipper Eoin Morgan who won the toss and put the hosts in. Virat Kohli promoted himself at the top of the order and came out to start proceedings with Rohit Sharma. Just as they say "Cometh the hour cometh the man", Rohit Sharma proved his worth in the decider and proved yet again why he is one of the best limited overs batsmen of all time. He simply took the game away from England right from the word go and that set the tone for such a big score after batting first. His whirwind knock of 65 came in just 33 deliveries which was studded with 4 fours and 5 sixes. Virat Kohli played second fiddle to him as Rohit took on the English bowlers with disdain. His wicket never allowed the England bowlers to come back into the match as Suryakumar Yadav carried on from where he left in the last game. He smashed two consecutive sixes in his first three deliveries and looked in complete command of proceedings. He was dismissed courtesy a sensational boundary line catch by Chris Jordan.
Arya: A target of 225 was always going to be a very steep task for England and they were pegged back right from the word go when Jason Roy fell prey to Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the opening over. From there on it was a magnificent partnership between Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan which got England right back into the game. What a sensational partnership it turned out to be and at one point in the game, both the batsmen looked like taking the game away from the hosts. Malan in particular made his presence felt for the first time in the series and a partnership of over 100 runs with Buttler set the tone for a huge run chase. Buttler on the other end also looked in dominant touch and kept plundering the Indian attack all around the park. It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who bagged the prized wicket of Jos Buttler which jolted the progress of the English team and they never really managed to recover. Wickets kept falling at regular junctures of the game and in the end, the target proved to be way too much in the end. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was quite exceptional on a pitch that was undoubtedly the best of the series. He bagged two crucial wickets and gave away just 15 runs and proved to the game changer.
Arya: A thoroughly convincing victory in the end for the home team as they beat England by 36 runs to clinch the 5 match series by a margin of 3-2. The target of 225 proved to be way too much in the end for England as the Indian bowlers held their nerves in the end and in the end it was a cakewalk for the home team.

6 SIX!!!! Curran finishes off the match and the series with a six. Slower full delivery on the stumps and Curran crunches this down the ground over the top and over the boundary by a long distance. India still win the match quite convincingly in the end.
19.5 Shardul Thakur to Sam Curran
2 Smashes this back of a length delivery just past the bowler down the ground and a bit of fumble from Shreyas Iyer at long-on but keeps it to a couple.
19.4 Shardul Thakur to Sam Curran
6 SIX!!!! What a shot this is from Sam Curran. Might be too little too late but an incredible shot from Sam Curran. Full outside off and Curran times this lofted extra cover drive to perfection and it goes sailing over the deep extra cover boundary for another maximum.
19.3 Shardul Thakur to Chris Jordan
W WICKET!!!! One more wicket for Sharduk Thakur and India. Length delivery on the stumps and Jordan gets a good piece of it but only as far as the deep midwicket fielder Suryakumar Yadav. He gets into a good position and completes an easy catch in the end.
19.2 Shardul Thakur to Chris Jordan
6 SIX!!!! That is a brilliant blow by Chris Jordan. Good length delivery outside off and Jordan connects it to perfection and ends up lifting this well over the long-off fielder for a maximum.
19.1 Shardul Thakur to Chris Jordan
0 Shardul Thakur bangs this short and Jordan ducks under it. One for the over signalled by the leg umpire.
