So that's it from us at OneCricket. I'm AryaSekhar Chakraborty signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Karthik Raj. Tata. Bye Bye.
Jos Buttler | Player of the Match: It was nice to spend time in the middle. It was a great team performance. We got some good partnerships to see us home. People don't expect me to attack spinners, so I tried to take it on. It was nice to chance my arm today against Chahal. First six off Chahal got me off and running. We managed to have a good powerplay. I tried to get across what a special achievement it is to play 100 matches and what he's (Morgan) done for English white ball cricket. Eoin's taken our white ball fortunes to a completely new place we've never been before.
Jos Buttler has been named as the 'Man of the Match' for his sensational knock of 83* (52).
Eoin Morgan | England captain: The carry we saw throughout the whole game, it was surprising. Our guys don't find it too hard to adjust. First half of our bowling was exceptional. The wicket stayed similar. When there's one short side, you don't know what's a good score. It's just the dynamics of T20 cricket. Jos is a world-class player, we are very lucky to have him. He competes with the best when it comes to opening the batting. He's a great leader within our group. He's a great friend of mine. The words he said really warmed my heart and I am very grateful for that.
Virat Kohli | India captain: If that helps the team, then sure. You don't want to play knocks which don't help the team in any way. It was a bit difficult to bat against the new ball. Their bowlers were hitting good areas. We got one little partnership, it was important for me to bat deep. The case was to get set and try to get a decent total. I was going through a lean patch two days back. He (KL Rahul) has been a champions player. He'l continue to be one of our main players along with Rohit at the top of the order. It's a matter of five-six balls in this format. If you lose the toss, embrace what's been asked of you. England bowlers were brilliant with the new ball, made our lives difficult. We tried to come back, I don't think our body language in the second innings. You need to figure out which other all-rounder can be featured. With the ball, Hardik is coming along nicely.
Mark Wood: The two pitches I've played on have a bit of bounce and I enjoyed those conditions. My role in the team is to try and bang it on a good length and make something happen. Kohli's a fantastic player and very hard to bowl at and he played some great shots in the end. It's good to play against great players and test yourself. We have some fantastic death bowlers - Archer and Jordan - but I can do the role. It's a shame I went [for runs] in the last over, but credit to Virat. It's something both teams like to chase. If we still bat first, I'll back our players, just like India will. We have some fantastic players. We always get this question (who is faster: you or Archer? Me and Jofra have a friendly competition and obviously he's very fast as well.
Let's see what players have to say.
Arya: There was brief little partnership between Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli but they couldn't quite get the scoring rate up. Wickets kept falling on a consistent basis and the mountain looked too steep to climb for the home team. It was not until the last 5 overs that the whole complexion of the game changed courtesy a special knock from King Kohli. He looked in complete command of proceedings and literally toyed with the English bowlers in the last 5 overs as India scored as many as 67 in the last 5 overs. Hardik Pandya also connected a few but it was some lusty blows from the blade of Virat Kohli which took India to a competitive score of 157. Kohli remained unbeaten on 77 of 46 deliveries which was studded with 8 fours and 4 sixes.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was the English skipper Eoin Morgan who had no hesitation in fielding first. India again got off to a worst possible start and lost three quick wickets just like the opening encounter. Mark Wood consistently clicked late 140’s and the early 150’s and had the Indian batsmen under pressured right from the word go. KL Rahul’s poor run of form continued as his defence was breached by a brilliant delivery from Mark Wood. Two more wickets fell in quick succession in the form of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan and again India had to play catch up all through the innings.
Arya: Buttler continued his attacking onslaught and plundered the Indian bowlers all around the park during his whirlwind knock of 83 of 53 deliveries. He never looked in any discomfort during any stage of the innings and made the run chase look a pretty easy one. In the end it was Bairstow and Buttler who remained unbeaten and took England over the finishing line. Eventually they ended up winning by 8 wickets and with 10 deliveries to spare.
Arya: It proved to be a stroll in the park in the end for England as they chased down 158 with utmost ease in the end courtesy a brilliant knock from the blade of Jos Buttler. He was in a murderous mood right from the word go and despite some good testing overs from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur up front, Buttler was in a different mood and never allowed any of the Indian bowlers to settle in. Jason Roy was dismissed early but it was a Buttler who stole the show. The partnership with Dawid Malan almost got them within touching distance of the victory target and despite the loss of Malan it proved to be a cakewalk for them in the end.
Arya: That's the end of the third encounter and England storm their way back in the series and take a 2-1 lead in the 5 match series. Yet again the team chasing looked in utmost comfort and coasted to a win by 8 wickets in the end.
18.2 Shardul Thakur to Jonny Bairstow
4 Shorter outside off, Bairstow slaps it over and behind point for a boundary. That seals the match for England. A convincing eight-wicket victory with ten balls to spare.

4 Short outside off, Bairstow reaches out and pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a boundary
