So thats all for now, keep following up for all the other cricket games, around the world, the T10 League and the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. This is me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off on the behalf of my fellow commentators Kingshuk Kusari and Arjun Bhalla.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Chris Lynn, the Brisbane Heat captain who won the toss and opted to field. This was a tricky decision but he stood by his decision. Thunder was off to a steady start with a 22 runs partnership but was unable to find the gap in the powerplay overs. It was some good bowling on display from the Brisbane Heat bowlers as they never allowed the Thunder top order to go for the big shots. Sam Billings and Callum Ferguson shared an impressive stand between them and provided solidity. However both fell shortly and the decision to delay the Power Surge came onto haunt them. They lost 5 wickets for 27 runs in the middle overs and it was only up to Cutting to take them to a respectable total. Cutting let loose in the last over as he smashed a couple of sixes to take the score to 158. In the end the score of 158 didn't prove to be enough on the back of some sheer brilliance from Sam Heazlett and Jimmy Pierson
Arya: The target was always going to a tricky one for the Heat's. They needed to get off to a sensible start but that wasn't to be. After a sensational opening over, Joe Denly fell very early and they were on the backfoot from the outset. Chris Lynn smashed a four and six before perishing and it was ominous signs for the Heat. They needed to stitch together a good partnership and that was provided by Sam Heazlett and Marnus Labuschagne. Both played some exquisite shots en route to their partnership of 56 runs. However a controversial run-out decision of Labuschagne again put them on the backfoot. The Sydney Thunder bowlers were steady and bowled good lines and length during the first 10 overs. They troubled the Heat's batters on a consistent occasion and the required rate kept on creeping up. Sam Heazlett didn't start off brilliantly but as his innings progressed, he gained in confidence and started taking on the Thunder's bowlers with utter disdain. It was his partnership with Jimmy Pierson which changed the complexion of the match. Both looked in ominous touch and shared an unbeaten stand of 92 runs to the seal the deal. While Heazlett pulled, cut and hooked very well en route to his magical knock of 74 of 49 deliveries which included 6 fours and 3 sixes, Pierson remained unbeaten on 43 of 23 deliveries studded with 2 fours and 3 sixes as they chased the total down with 5 deliveries left
Arya: So thats the end of the game. Brisbane Heat wins by 7 wickets and goes through to the next knockout match against Perth Scorchers. Given the red hot form Heat has been in, it will require something special from the Scorchers to beat them in the next encounter.
19.1 Brendan Doggett to Sam Heazlett
4 thats all over, Heazlett does it in style, brilliant performance from the southpaw, short from Doggett, Heazlett pulls this off the frontfoot down deep backward square leg and finds the boundary, what a knock from Heazlett and what a sensational partnership with Pierson

18.6 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson
0 a slower short delivery outside off, Pierson doesn't connect the attempted pull, misses it but its too late for Milne and the Thunder
The game is level now. Juicy full toss and leave alone Pierson, division players will dispatch that for a six. Really poor execution from Milne.
18.5 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson
6 SIX!!! thats a low full toss yet again and its easy pickings for Pierson, whips this off his hips and it has touched the ropes on the full, that's a six and its almost over, a six signalled, a special, times it to perfection, was nicely behind the low full toss and takes full toll, just one more needed
18.4 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson
0 another slower short delivery outside off, Pierson jumps off his feet and tries to slash this up and over point but yet again misses it, good comeback from Milne
18.3 Adam Milne to Jimmy Peirson
0 thats a well disguised slower delivery, back of a length outside off, Pierson tries to open the face of the bat and run this down the deep 3rd man region, doesn't make any contact
18.2 Adam Milne to Sam Heazlett
1 dropped!! short of length slower and Heazlett is a bit early into his attempted pull, gets the outer half of the bat straight down the throat of Tanveer Sangha but he is unable to latch onto it and that might have hurt him here, he is going off the field
18.1 Adam Milne to Sam Heazlett
4 FOUR!!!! short from Milne, Heazlett thrashes this down deep fine leg and finds the boundary, a perfect swivel pull, gets into perfect position and makes hay, the Heat' are coasting to a victory here, brilliant innings from Heazlett so far
Kingshuk: 12 from 12 going into the final stage of this knockout. Easy task for the Heat from here. It will take something monumental to mess this up. Milne coming in means some boundaries.

17.6 Daniel Sams to Jimmy Peirson
2 slower full delivery again outside off, Pierson works this down the ground towards long-on and exceptional running between the wickets allow them to take a brace
17.5 Daniel Sams to Jimmy Peirson
2 slower full delivery outside off, Pierson works this down square leg and has enough time to take a couple
17.4 Daniel Sams to Jimmy Peirson
0 drills this full length delivery outside off straight to the point fielder
