Born at Nelson, Claudia Lauren Green is a talented cricketer who is know to bowl medium-pace. She has been appointed as the female development officer for Nelson cricket while pursuing a degree in Physical Education. Green started her cricketing career at 12 when she had to play for her cousin’s team. She got an opportunity to play for New Zealand U-22 in the Indoor Cricket World Cup in Dubai.
The Nelson-born debuted in First-Class cricket with Central Hinds, where she took a wicket on her seventh delivery. She later impressed everyone with a five-wicket haul against England in February 2021, representing New Zealand XI in a warm-up game.
The right-arm pacer got her maiden call-up for the White Ferns during the 2021 tour of the UK after Amelia Kerr But unfortunately, she didn’t debut in the series.
Green has been named as the replacement for Jess Kerr for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.
