Player Bio

Feroze Khushi is another new kid on the blocks for Essex CCC. He made his first-class debut against Kent in the Bob Willis Trophy and made an immediate impression, hitting a vital 45 in the second innings to help the county to a 2-wicket victory. The youngster is the finest new kid player off the pull shot.

Born in Whipps Cross, Khushi has graduated from grassroot levels. He was voted Second XI Player of the Year in 2017 after somewhat of a breakthrough season. The Whipps Cross-born was handed his maiden first-team opportunity during the Championship season of 2020.

After a dream debut, he promised with a fine 66 against Sussex. By the end of the season, he had become an integral member of the title-winning squad. However, just after the Championship, Khushi found himself under scrutiny, as the Essex celebrations, after winning the title, saw alcohol poured over.

Later in the season, Khushi played two more T20 matches in the Vitality Blast in 2020. The challenge for the youngster now is to follow in the footsteps of Dan Lawrence and become a permanent fixture in the First XI, but failed to break into the white-ball side.
